Are new diseases really new?

Several years ago there were stories on Legionnaires disease and even AIDS, that have made headlines as new diseases. But it would be more accurate to describe to call these infections as newly-recognized rather than new. With any unfamiliar disease there is always the possibility that these existed before it came to prominence, but was rare and passed unnoticed until something happened to make it common.

Oh that is really something old that is new to know. It is a good information. We always thought aids is a new disease.
