I visited the doctor today. He said from the body scan the cancer hasnt spread. I have a very rare form of cancer in my left breast. He sais all that needs done now is to schedule an appointment with a plastic surgeon to figure out when we can get it removed. the plastic surgeon needs to be there to figure where to take the extra skin from for the wound opening. in case theres not enough skin left. in any case, I want to thank you all thats prayed for me. because it could have been worse. this is tissue cancer caused from radiation and my not taking the tamoxifen. so if you have radiation, whatever you do, always take your tamoxifen! so, thanks all my friends. I will still need prayer to get through the surgery. but I feel lucky that they didnt say, no surgery because that would have meant nothing could be done. thanks.

Just think how much better you will heal when you quit smoking. Improved circulation and all. I am thinking positive about the smoking cessation and the outcome of your treatment. I will continue to pray for you.

Hiya bunnybon,
Me too hoping that everything goes okay. Have heard that Radiation does that. It did it to my Dad and it did not spread after if that is any consolation it was isolated and never came back again.
Like the one Clint Eastwood got on his Nose for being in the Sun too much and with no protection.
What my Dad had was that a very tiny patch on the Nose and they had to cover it with a skin graft and it was like that for years after.
So glad it was not worse for sure. I just wish it was not anything at all.
Another Person I knew they did that to her foot right on the bridge of it and they had to skin graft it in the finish and it all healed well too.
Now she is okay and can walk properly and she has some go in her that girl.
Thinking of you too.xxx

The big concern in cancer research now is metastasis. Cancer is remarkably treatable if the cells don't metastasize, and scientists are working on blocking the genes that cause this to happen. They're also looking at blocking blood supply to tumours. In the future, cancer patients will get well with injections of antibodies!
I write for a site that develops biochemicals for cancer research - it's scary, but there's a lot of positive research being done that will see tumours shrivel and die with a simple injection, that WON'T make you throw up and suffer burns, infertility and hair loss.

Hiya bonnie,
You know every time I look at that little Dog my heart melts Coco is so lovable and she must be giving you lots of love right now when you most need it. Okay she can´t say it in words but I bet in actions she is doing a lot for you.
Love is the most powerful medicine of all of course all the other medicines are fantastic and there are some very dedicated People in that kind of field as well.
My Friends Mother´s Foot sorry to make it sound like that they radiated it too much and that is why she had to have a skin graft but it took and what they radiated was not cancerous anyway.
Now she is active again there is no stopping her.
All that was years ago now and one of her Friends had Cancer and she is still here and very well too.
All I can send you is my love to you and Coco. I bet Coco has lots of Doggie Friends around there does she?

It is often better to find that the cancer is cured before you lose both your br*sts. And it is better that it can be reconstructed. At least you are not going to die from it. Praying that the surgery will be successful.

Thank you. It is lucky it was found out before more damage was done and lucky that you had a good doctor. There are many who are not that fortunate.

i saw the plastic surgeon last week and he said he could likely just pull/stretch the skin from my back toward the front area and cover it. did you have the same surgery?

hi bunnybon oh I am glad as I can see it is l ucky and once through the surgery then you can begin to heal.I will still send prayers that your surgery go splendidly and you will soon be well'
and can sort of put this behind you,not that you will ever forget
it of course, but before I am sure your nerves were taut with all the what ifs and not knowing.so it has not spread and thats just wonderful news..
my hubby years back had colon surgery and they really did an excellent job as it did not spread either, the only thing with him was he hated having the colostomy but I kept saying honey at least you are alive and have no more cancer. but i understood of course that being different is upsetting especially when it comes to body refuse coming from an opening in your tummy but when I thought of how it could have gone, I was just so glad it had not spread. He lived ten more years and he would have grown old with me now but his excessive smoking killed his heart. The fourth and most severe heart attack took him in two hours. what a jolt as he had been getting better. hard to lose your beloved so hard.its been years now but I do miss him as we were married 33 years and were so close. that was in 1991
Keep us posted when you can and my best wishes will go with you and God bless you and keep you to come through the surgery with
'flying colors. My prayers will again go forth and blend with all the other mylotter;s prayers to have you make a splendid recovery and super fast too. hugs from hatley.

thanks so much sweet friend. i know how sad it is to miss a good man. my hubby went with cancer in '02. he just let things go to long without finding it. which is one of the things i always worry about. with cancer you can beat it if its caught in time. i really think also that all my friends help and prayers have really helped on here. it will always help when we keep praying for each other. im getting to where i say a little prayer for all my friends here each night. cause i know they are me. ooooo

I´ll be sending you good energy, bunnybon. I´m with my own battle with cancer, but feeling that the best way to do it is to go on living and feeling happy and having faith. My friends and family have helped me a lotand I´m involved in the student movement in my country from my computr as I can´t go out much while my defenss ar low by chemo. My cancer has no cure yet, but it´s a slow grower. So, I think that those are good news too.
You´ll win, you are winning, out with th foe!

Having been where our family has been in the past several months, I would consider your situation to be very lucky. That is great that the cancerous cells can be removed through surgery and you won't have to undergo a lot of treatment in order to restore your health to your prior level of well-being. I will continue to keep you and your daughter in my prayers. Is there any updates on her condition yet? Love and prayers.
