My mother

You are very lucky to have such a close relationship with your mother. I am close to my father. My sister and I were close to my father while my two brothers are closer to my mother. I find it hard to open up to my mother but when I was older and we often travel a lot, my mother and I had time to talk and I slowly opened up to her. She is one tough woman and I believe this is one of the reasons why she is not very open when it comes to sharing her feelings. Now that I am a mother, I am doing my best to be open and approachable for my teenager daughter. I know it is hard to understand their moods but I have experienced being a teenager as well so I know I will be able to do it. I believe that this is crucial to have a closer relationship with my daughter so that she will know that she can always run to me whenever she have some problems.

when it comes to that kind of topic, i never talk about it with my mom. i only talk to her when it regards to school stuffs and friends or family. :)

I am happy for you and hope you can continue with that relationship. Remember your Mom is human and 'pick your battles' because she won't be around forever. Have patience with her and keep up the close relationship, you will be so grateful ifor years to come. Kudos to you & God Bless.

Sadly my mother passed away a few years ago.I still miss her because she was my best friend.I could talk to her about anything.Its wonderful that you and your mom are so close!

Awwwwe! Kudos to your Mom! Because as we all know, our generation is far different from theirs. So I really appreciate parents especially moms who tries to be open minded with us. ;) my mom and I doesn't have that kind of relation though, sadly but yes. I have 5 other siblings but mom isn't that up to date with what's going on in our lives in all aspects. We feel her love though not it's not that obvious. I think she trusts as that much that there's no need for her to look up on us from time to time. There are times though that I wish she would be like your mom. A mom and a friend or even a bestfriend. I wish she's someone who will give time to hear out what's happening on us and you know, be open minded about certain stuffs. There was one time that we had our little arguement because she's alarmed by me always going out. I told her that mom, I'm with good friends, I'm a professional already and I'm young. Nobody wants to party all night at their 30's you know and miss all the fun during their youth. Though things are like that, I know beyond her words is a caring heart and I'll always be thankful for having her. HavIng a mom, I feel blessed! ;)
