I have just started watching this anime and the first episode already made me decided to watch this anime until the very end. I thought this was really interesting, a single guy chose to raise a little girl who was his deceased grandfather's daughter from a woman who had abandoned the girl. The second episode showed how the guy struggled with the change of his lifestyle with an addition to his house, not to mention that addition needed to go to school and he had to squeezed it into his schedule.
The main character Daikichi is really amusing and cute as he tries to take care of the little girl, Rin. With the hardships of being a single parent, I wonder how Daikichi will manage to go on, or will he just search for Rin's mother and let her take care of Rin?
I'm also excited to watch the live action movie of this which stars Kenichi Matsuyama and Ashida Mana!

Here comes another manga series, i just started watching few chapter and i already got addicted to it, this comic is interesting being a parent is definitely not an easy work. life's hard all that realism is seen in this, specially if its a female child it would be trouble coz you have to look after her in every step. anyway am interested to see on what happens next. is this series still continuing or is it over with happy ending?huh

Yea.. I'm watching the anime.. and I've also seen the CM of the live action movie.. I love Matsuyama Kenichi so I'm excited to see his portrayal as Daikichi.
As for Usagi Drop itself.. I found it very sweet and heartwarming initially and so I went to check out the manga... and to my... DISMAY.. the ending was... something I hoped never had happened.. imo.. it totally spoiled the sweet impression it gave readers initially!
Since the anime will only have 11 episodes and the movie is only around 2 hrs long, I think (and hope) the anime and the movie will have their own original ending and will not be the same as the manga ending.

Hi poohgal! Glad to know someone who's watching the same series. I am also excited to see the live action! I think Ashida Mana is really cute! And yeah, I wonder how Kenichi will portray Daikichi (is their name similarity coincidence? ). From what you said about the manga, I am also hoping the ending would be good for the anime and the movie.

Aw, that's too bad. I guess I'm lucky I didn't read the manga.

Hi secretbear! This sounds like an interesting anime. I'm quite tired watching magical and action anime as of this moment. Though I still love those genres. I'll probably check it after the current anime that I'm watching.

OMG~ MatsuKen and Ashida Mana is a real cute kid XD She guested in Arashi's VIP Room segment.
The story line's kinda like "My Girl" (not the KDrama) where Aiba Masaki played the role of a single dad who suddenly found out that he has a 5-yr-old child/daughter from his GF who hasn't seen for 6 yrs (but he later found out that she was killed in an accident). Of course, Aiba-chan's acting not as good as Nino/Jun/Ohno's (but he's still my favorite Arashi member!) but the story's real good :D
I also want to watch this one (Usagi Drop) :D

Yeah! Ashida Mana is really cute! I saw her MV with another little guy and they were dancing and singing, I just forgot the song! They were so cute! I think it was from the drama Marumo no Okite or something like that.
Usagi Drop is available at horriblesubs. Previous episodes is available at nyaatorrents.
