Going back to college

Hey there - Good Afternoon - I myself haven't gone back to school but have had several friends who did - a few struggled but most of them found that it was really an exciting experience doing something that they really wanted to do and they can't wait to finish to see what's out there for them after they earn their degrees!!!! I personally think you so rock for going back to school - takes true courage in my opionion and I hope that it all goes really well for you!!!!

That is awesome!! Im recently out of college so I havent had time to work and then go back to college, but I am trying to talk my mom into getting her nursing degree like she dreamed of doing when she younger. what helped motivate you?

hi beckyomg not recently but I went to junior college in my thirties to get enough points to go on to the University and then marrigage and children interceded and at 52 went back to the U to do my two final years and graduated with a B A in E nglish at 54 years old. So I know it can be done. I was always thrilled when the much younger students accepted me as a much older student. I graduated with a 3 point GPA due to a latin grammar course I flunked. I had graduated from Junior college with 4 point GPa. anyway this was long time backnow as I am a senior now in my eighties..

Well done Beckyomg1, I am going back this year after 10 years in the workforce and no qualification from my earlier schooldays. I start next week, very excited and nervous. When are you going back, and what are you going back to do? Best of luck!
