Hello Lotters,
I decided to try and sleep early but i couldn't probably because my body clock has really shifted into sleeping late in the morning instead of sleeping early. But this is the first time I was kinda frustrated because I don't want sleepless nights anymore.
THough I had progress but it seemed there was a hard rain just came upon our house and it wake me and made me even hard to sleep. it's two in the morning now and I am not sure when am I gonna hit the sack

Hi LetranKnight25, it's said that to sleep from 11 pm is beneficial to our health, for 11 pm to 3 am is the working hours for the gallbladder and liver to expel toxin. Therefore if we stay up late is not good to our health. For the sake of health I tried to go to bed earlier since I realize that it's healthy to sleep before 11 pm. It's quite difficult to shift my bedtime from wee hours to 11 o'clock. For I's used to sleep late. I couldn't hardly fall asleep initially and it needs time for me to change my sleeping habit gradually. I try hard to go to bed a bit earlier slowly until now I still couldn't get to sleep at 11 pm. Anyway I'm glad that I can go to bed as early as 11.30 pm. Seems that it's very much earlier than before
Happy posting

You are most welcome I'm glad to learn that you have a healthy sleep time and able to wake up earlier and enjoy the morning sun shine.
I do get up earlier as well since the night I could accustom to earlier bedtime. At present I wake up early and enjoy having morning brisk walk at the nearby park where the air around is so fresh and the natural green is comfortable

I'm usually up late and back out of bed early. I generally run on about six hours of sleep... or less. It really isn't deliberate; I just have difficulty getting to sleep early, and, then, something (usually, somekitty) will cause me to awaken early. Luckily for me, I can function like that.

Hello wilson, I also sleep around six hours or else it's very tiring to wake up on that scenario. I hope i can sleep early tonight as a good start. If I fail then am in big trouble.

Hi, LK. Did you try all the things when one fails to fall asleep at night like: counting 1-100 sheep, drink warm milk, have a warm bath to relax your body?
In my case, those above mentioned suggestions didn't work for me. What |I did was I tried not sleeping the whole day. Like 24 hours just to adjust my body clock and somehow it worked. I know this is not the most safe method to be used often but it worked one time for me.

Hello totally-pretty, unfortunately, we ran out of milk tonight and i needed to drink my usual c-lium supplement so i decided to drink coke instead. I'd buy milk powder tomorrow and do that, probably it might help me sleep better compare to what I've been through last late morning. well, i can't afford to be awake because I'd end up not being active in mylot to the fullest. have a nice day

Hi letran knight: I actually have to say that i don't have this problem. i usually can sleep at every moment of the day. When I need to sleep I use some techniques to do it quickly. For example think about a beautiful image. I also make some exercises. I close my eyes quickly and then I open them slowly, I try to concentrate on my breathing and I control it so it will be slower. This helps me to start entering to the dreams world very easily. And you just need to focus your mind to the action- I am going to sleep and you'll do.

Hello gmkumar, Well, it's a good procedure if you drink milk at night or make yourself tired the whole day with out taking a nap or something. For now, I am going to attempt to sleep early again because I failed the last time and it wasn't too good for me to rise up early in the morning. we should always consider ourselves lucky that we still have our health and shouldn't abuse it. have a nice day

Usually when I WANT to go to sleep early is the time that I CAN'T go to sleep early. Go figure. But your mind and body indicate when you need sleep, so if you are sleeping in really late in the morning, your body most likely won't be tired when you want to go to sleep. Our body clocks are amazing things, aren't they?

Hello mindym, Definitely my friend. but for now with this large monitor that I have it seems that it's really giving a bad impact on my body. you're right i went to sleep but i couldn't because my mind isn't really for sleeping that night. i guess I was in a bit of a shock there because i didn't sleep early as I am supposed to. have a nice day.

HI LK
I was used to sleep early in the night and wake up early in the morning. But since couple of years my habits are changing. I mean now I used to sleep very late in the nights and because of that I am not able to wake up early in the morning even with alarm clock. I really want to get my old habit back but its like I will never be like that. I mean feeling too lazy in morning.

Hello Akp100, Yeah, same here and am starting to hate it, I used to like sleeping around eight in the evening and waking up five or six but now I have no choice but to sleep three or four in the morning. whereas my earliest sleep was around twelve at least now. when i wake up I make sure that i have a complete sleep despite of the problems i've been having sleeping.have a nice day.

Hello Bhabycatch, I don't know what would make you feel but when that happened to me it was completely mind blowing because i couldn't think well and couldn't answer if my mom was asking question when ever some one calls and am forced to wake up and tell her. have a nice day.

Hi letrankinght
Do some physical work in day time. Started reading in night. I think this will help you to shift your body clock as you wish. Try this

Hello Proojha, Now this has reminded me that I should go for exercise in the morning, you're right the only choice that I need to do is to read at night while doing exercise in the morning. there's a problem though, such rigorous exercise would force me to sleep in the afternoon. but you're right, READING the newspaper might work. thanks il try it.

Oh my! You are becoming a nocturnal beast now LetranKnight! Maybe your body already adapted to sleeping late now that you have to synchronize it back to normal again. I have read elsewhere that in order to synchronize your body clock again to normal you should go back to nature. Best thing to do for this is having a vacation at the beach, but if you don't have plans for a vacation you can just take a day off away from the computer and other stressful stuff. Your body will try to catch up with the natural flow. Start early to rise like the sun and also cool down to rest during sunsets. That is the natural body clock mechanism. I suggest you do meditation or breathing exercises. It helps circulate air and may correct your body's mechanism back to normal.

Hello AgentGulaman, Yeah I can't believe this is happening to me, am not even a vampire and this is happening to me, wow. I think i will consider exercising again and keep myself from sleeping in the afternoon or before nightfall so that i can get a chance to completely sleep at night. my only hope is that too much drain wouldn't cause me any kind of trouble being sleepy while mylotting. have a nice day.

You should try to work for a call center, I was like this as well, unable to sleep until the morning. What I did was I applied for a call center job, its an additional stress but it makes my life more efficient. I am also answering the discussions from my Job so its not that bad. Efficient in all aspects is my motto in life. This might work for some people but I'm told by most of my friends that I am the only one who can handle this much multi-tasking.

Hello Goggles, I have worked in the Call Center in the past and in the first few days on the floor I was really sleepy and feeling that I was completely different world. It still considered stressful over time but i did enjoy my job, most specially days before my laid off because the company was downsizing employees. have a nice day.

We're in the same boat. I've been sleeping later and later lately and now I often find myself going to bed and four hours later I would still be awake. After the first hour I would get very frustrated which is definitely not helping. I've tried many advises like taking a warm bath two hours before going to bed and taking herbal sleeping pills. Needless to say none of them work so what I do sometimes is not sleep for one night and go on my usual day the next day and by the time I get home, I would be soooo tired that I can actually fall asleep at around 10pm which I cannot absolutely do since I usually sleep after midnight (around 3pm nowadays actually), then hopefully the next night I can sleep around the same time too, and the next. Bad advice but its what I do. If you have nothing against them, try prescription sleeping pills.

hi,
sometimes we sleep in the time that we normally practiced so that when we wanted to sleep early we cant because its different on what had practiced, but gradually you can sleep early but step by step and never force your self to sleep so early.

I'm a night owl as well. I hate not being able to go to sleep until 4 or 5am some nights. It really puts a damper on the day because it is either 1pm when I wake up, or I have to go along with two hours sleep some nights. Luckily I am a freelancer who doesn't have a "real" job to go to. Hopefully you are able to overcome your body clock (:
