Watching the news today has been an excercise in frustration. S&P's lowering of America's credit rating is important enough apparently to be on every news dedicated network, but who the heck found these idiots they are talking to. I've gone hoarse from yelling at these Capitol Hill lightweights that are being rolled out to answer questions about this issue. Most have been overwhelmed or thrown off track by aggressive show hosts and very few have been able to bring anything new to the discussions. I'm assuming more experienced politicians are having their responses drawn up for them by "experts" and won't be available for comment until that work is done. Maybe they'll come out tomorrow? That's why we're getting the "B" team on the shows today; they're the only ones foolish enough to go out there unprepared. What have you seen lately that made you want to throttle the goofy guests some shows have? -The Frustrated Rat

Umm... The blatant media-blackout of Ron Paul frustrates me.

Maybe because I live a stone's throw from D.C?Or that I was born cynical but I am not upset. It is just Congress being Congress. They lie for a living! They can threaten all they want and throw tantrums but if they don't come back to do something sensible it comes back to haunt them. And as for hearing What they are going to do? How can these empty suits say what Congress doesn't even know? It is times like this I'm Sooo happy I have Cable T.V. I can and do stay away from the News. All they are going to do is guess anyway!

The politicians don't do anything unless it has some political benefits for them. They could have easily solved the issues relating to the debt ceiling and related problems but they were busy trying to upstage each other while things kept getting worse. The ordinary people a the ones that would suffer it in the long run.
