Halo everyone. I am just really curious because guidelines says don't say thank you to....because it will not increase rating. I really don't mind if it does not increase rating. But I can't help from thanking people from time to time. And every time I do I feel like i am in violation to the rules. If I am not wrong maybe they just put it in guidelines so that we will not be misled into thinking that it will increase rating? Thank you. (There I go again).

Even though the word thank you will not increase your counting but still it's a sign of gratitude to others. I believe in the phrase "what you give is what you get". I believe all good deeds even small ones should give thanks to even if there's no something in return.

I read carefully the guidelines after posting my second discussion where I wrote "thank you" to almost all the fellows who answered it. On the next discussions I avoided to write the same again. But only in few cases I keep writing "thank you", although I don't intend to break the rules.

The guideline means that it shouldn't be used as the only reply to your responses, it is alright if you comment back with somethings relevant to your responses and end up with a T.Y note, instead of just T.Y as a reply. You are not in violation of any rule. It is nice to be polite to my fellow Mylotters no matter how...

haha... well, i also say thank you to those who are kind and open enough to share their own stories and opinions to my discussions. And when i have encountered a topic that hits me as something i really want to talk about, responding to it becomes an outlet and releases my stress... so with that, i also say thank you.. haha thank you is a magic word,.. i don't understand why it would be a violation hahaha

Well it is courtesy to tell, thank you, nothing wrong i guess, but one shound not say, 'thanks for response' only as your comment to responses.. Best of luck. Happy posting, cheers. Kalyani
