Hello mylotters! I know most of the my-lot members do have Facebook account.Well, I also have one. I am a Facebook member since 2009. For me this networking site really helps me. It makes me connect with my friends and relatives from far place. I can actually chat with them during my free time in the office. I get updated on whats happening with their lives.
Since 2008 when I graduated in college, I had the hard time of staying in touch with my college friends since all of us were busy in our own jobs. Thanks that there's a Facebook. We were able to talk and in fact last month we organized a reunion this coming November.
Well, Facebook really helps me in connecting with my friends. How about you? Did you find Facebook helpful to you?

Facebook helps a lot especially connecting and getting updated with family, relatives, colleagues, college friends, highschool friends, elementary friends and even neighbors. You may even chat to them if they are online as well.
Facebook helps in creating an event for reunions or meeting up friends online.
You may even share common interest like playing FB games, mutual pages and groups.
Almost everyone has a facebook account, some even have more than 1 account.
Even companies have their own pages. We just have to be careful of what we are sharing to protect our privacy from being abused.

Yes. I agree. Because nowadays, Facebook is being used to make crimes. There are lots of crimes which Facebook is involved. so we really need to choose the person that we will be adding in our account and we should not indulge any personal information about us so that we can protect ourselves from those people.
After all, there are lots of ways on how we can do that. I guess Facebook also improved their system so that it will still be safe for us to use that site.

I'm the same way with the family connection. I am grateful for the fact that I can see my sisters and their families even tho we are so far apart. I have two adult children that I also keep up with also via Facebook. It was fun when I first saw all the people I went to school with now grown up. But I did have to turn the chat off. I've got my own life now and I'm just not interested in catching up with the girl who sat beside me in 3rd grade. hmm..topic idea coming on. lol
So thanks for the great discussion topic and the inspiration.

I pretty much got used to Friendster. After that, I just got tired of it all. I figured there is no point on keeping in touch with your friends if you can already text them or hangout with them. Facebook's games are pretty lame in my opinion. I think their only purpose is to keep users logging in there, that's all. I'd rather play PS2 games than keep my patience intact playing their lame games.

I couldn't deactivate my facebook account even at times I wanted to. It's the only media which has guided sponsors to share their extra blessings the less-fortunate children of our city through me. For 3 years now, a number of strangers turned friends because of facebook has asked me to do their charity works. My group doesn't raise funds but rather we just execute the charity work of people who wanted to be of help to those who are in need but who couldn't be around to hand their blessings personally to their recipients. Through my group and through facebook, we have bridged and are still bridging the sponsors to their recipients. :)

Opening my face book account is really a part of my every day routine especially when I open the internet access I always open my face book account first before any other networking sites because even if I am only at home I still have my access to my friends especially that we are far from each other and I can still update myself to them and to their life as well.

Well, what so many number of social sources and messengers could not do for the net users Facebook has excellently been successful in doing by making possible the friends and relatives to get closer and closer. Hope Facebook will continue excelling dynamically nonstop forever.
