What do you consider a dead discussion here?

Some categories have so many posts that any one posting is several pages deep after an hour or two. Do you ever look back to previous page discussions? At what point should we consider the discussion too far back to respond to? MyLot has a guideline that we should not ask questions that have already been asked. But how many of us really check that every time we post? Don't we pretty much just look at the latest posts and make sure it's nothing that's been done recently? Is it even fair to say we shouldn't ask a question from last year again? Nobody goes back that far to reply, do they? -The Curious Rat

We cannot blame those who re post the same topics that has been posted already again and gain. maybe because some of us here didn't satisfied from those topics who was posted before that is why they keep on posting that again and gain. But for me there is no problem with that, I would love to make comments with every discussions that I am interested with here in my-lot.

Actually, we can blame those people that re-post discussions on the same topics over and over again. Unless the discussion is on a similar or related topic but focusing on an entirely different aspect of the issue, then it would be a similar/duplicate discussion, which is a violation of the Guidelines and would be deleted as such. When the discussion gets deleted, all the responses/comments within the discussion are deleted, and everybody that participated on that discussion loses his or her potential earnings.

Anytime I accept a new friend, they search my profile and respond to discussions I started months ago. Sometimes I don't even remember starting that discussions it was so long ago. I know I don't start very many discussion, so I don't have nearly as many discussions to remember as you do. I can't imagine what your e-mail must look like after accepting a friend. I agree with you regarding the same discussions started over and over again. I've checked out the discussions started and sometimes on the same page there is the same question just worded differently. It seem like Mylot would monitor that a little closer. Because we are responding to the same questions over and over and then they are paying us to respond to the same discussions worded differently. Best Wishes!

I think discussions can be responded to no matter how long they have been on mylot. I have noticed people responding to discussions I have started some years ago. So I guess people can start and respond to discussions no matter how long they have been here and hopefully they would be earnings with that too.
