I recently started a discussion regarding ban of smoking in public places and now lets discuss some of the ways to quit smoking. There are people who wishes to quit smoking but are unable to do. Our discussion here may contribute to them. I think it will be a difficult task for them to quit smoking but with will and determination , one can do.
What are the ways to stop smoking or to quit smoking? Tips and tricks to let somebody stop smoking?

Smoking is very bad for health.., I know that it is bad for health, and actually i don't know what happens to our body. Of course I don't smoke..!
I do agree with you that some of smokers know that it is bad for their health, still they smoke, because they are not being able to quite.
i think we can make change their mind by providing them exact reason.

If you have kids look at them and see their future with out a parent, then look at those with cancer and the fake voice boxes; would you want that for your wife? Well that put aside the tricks would be; Chewing gum, drinking coffe, pretend to to smoke with a cig or one like it like the electronic one. Keep your hand busy and your mind never at idle.

Well there are several ways to quick smoking. My dad quit after decades of smoking Lucky Strikes, cold turkey. It was shocking but a great day for the family. He did it after the urging of his granddaughter who said she didn't want him to die due to smoking. My partner in crime quit by going to a acupuncturist. This past April was ten years ago. He now says I don't understand how someone can smoke and he can't believe what a smoker smells like. He says its amazing that you could kiss me.

Stopping an addiction is all about will power, you have to be willing to stop and you need to have the state of mind that you will not be tempted no matter what the cost is. Distraction is also the key, distract yourself if you get tempted by engaging in sports or any activities that involves a healthy lifestyle. Martial Arts did it for me, I have been smoking for well over 15 years and I stopped. Never smoked a stick for 2 years now.
