Our dog is scratching her whelping box...

I posted a discussion about our dog who is already due. We made her a whelping box and today she comes inside and keeps on scratching. Can this be a sign that the puppies are coming? I am new and I am alone in the house and I am totally nervous on what is happening with her. I hope someone can help me out.

So I was glad to see you built her a whelping box. Did she have the pups? How many? Was everyone ok? This is a really good forum for getting the information you needed.
