I am now married and there are times when I really miss school. I miss the cramming for deadlines. The group reports. The research papers. The company tours. The sweat drifting exams... Everything. I miss my profs and my classmated back then. I miss being a student. I always hear students complaining about school, and wish it would finish fast... I see myself in them. When I was still studying, I love to study but when everything comes on the same deadline and you don't know what to do first. I feel like quitting. But not that I finished school... how I wish I enjoyed more at that time. I miss being a student...
Do you miss school? What do miss about being a student?

Same here...I'm married with a 1 yr old kid..and I miss school..specially college. I miss being a student, being given an allowance lol and hanging out with my friends. Now that were all working and some of us are married, its kinda hard to just go out, hang out and drink. And the responsibilities right now are doubled compared to being a student...so I kinda miss having lesser responsibilities as well.

Hi. Now that I'm working already, no I don't miss school anymore. I really had fun during my school days and I will cherish that forever.

I miss some aspects of school. The times were mostly carefree and sometimes fun but there were other aspects that also spoiled that time for me and I still carry the scars. I sometimes felt a bit lost and sometimes as if I did not fit in. Many, many years later, life is still not a good fit but I feel as though I am where I should be.

Hi, pbbbsra. I kind of miss school, but not as much as I used to. When I go school supply shopping for my kids, I get excited about how I used to look forward to school when I used to go. I missed, studying and reading any material that the teacher has given to me at school. I missed laughing and hanging out with my friends when I saw them at lunch. I miss being around my teachers that were very nice and caring to me.

Well right now I'm in college, so I'm still technically a student. I don't think I'll miss school much. I do miss being in elementary school when everything was so easy. I kind of liked doing some of the English homework like reading and answering the multiple choice questions.
I also miss my friends; the ones from high school most of all. I missed hanging out with them after school and passing notes during class. In college, I haven't made any friends, so it's a huge disappointment to be lonely during and after classes

I honestly do not miss school. I remember when I took a year off after I graduated rom highschool I felt like I wanted to go back and I thought about how I would do everything better. Then I started University and It was fun for a while then I remembered why I disliked school. I do not like the lack of freedom.

I don't think I would ever go back if I could, but I do miss some things about school. Which surprises me because I couldn't wait to get out. But I miss the social interaction, and I miss constantly learning something new. There were some subjects I would just want to drink in as much knowledge as I could. And I do miss that.

I am now in my late thirties. When I was at secondary school I had my favorite teachers and won't ever forget how inspiring they were. I miss those lovely teachers and I miss being around my school friends. I miss the stunning looking school grounds. I miss the interest and fascinating work of my studies. I was at that secondary school from age 11 to 16 years old. My favorite subjects were English, History, Geography, Art and Religious Studies.
When I was 16 years old I went to study Shipping and Transport at a further education college. I badly miss the grounds and the location there for it had an indoor swimming pool and was on the River Thames. I miss my friends from there and the fun times we used to have. The college closed after one year and my course was transferred to London. I had such an exciting time being there near all the famous sights.

No, I don't. I've always hated school. I miss high school, yes. But I don't miss college. I hated it. I hated my professors. I hated my classmates. I really wished I was homeschooled.

No.. I do not miss school.. I am glad I am over the lectures and projects, assignments, terror profs, books to burn the nights.. and as much as I do not want to go by to studying again... I might have to for increase in salary..
The main reason I do not miss school is that I work in a school, in the office as a clerk. And I still get to have reports to be collated and submitted, some work I take home as assignments.... readings I need to do, letters and memos that arrive to be distributed to principals or teachers. Lectures?... this time it is seminars and meetings for upcoming events or more reports to be done. Hard to miss school when you work in a school.

I am a university student in my final semester now... but i do miss my high school so much. I don't miss things which you mentioned like, deadlines, project and all that. But i miss the fun we use to have in school, i remember i was the one who use to be at principles office for doing something mischief or the other. and apart from that we were only 9 students in the class and everyone was best friends with each other, with complete unity. If one was in trouble then the whole class would go to protect him. Those days were really fun.. now its the university life, a much more serious time compared to those school days. Its the last semester and i am going to enjoy to the fullest :) coz these days will never come back again. enjoy!!

I do not miss being a student because I am a student! Lol I'm knee deep in this right now and the worst of it is the immense amount of caffeine required to just get through the day! I think I must be killing myself slowly and I need to come up with some better ways to keep my energy up without downing heart pounding energy shots before classes. I am trying to enjoy my time while in school... but at the same time I will be very happy when I can close my last text book and just relax!

Yup, I sure miss my school life whenever I pass by my school. Funny thing, though. When we were in school studying, we wanted so much to get out of school and start working.

I'm a student, almost 16 years old, 10th year of school (Bulgaria).
I am aware that most adults say "oh, enjoy it while it lasts", but that seems impossible for me. The stress is unbearable and I'm pressured to study, because I do not want to fail, just like any other sane human being. But my bigger problem, I think, is that I don't want to disappoint others around me.
Sometimes I wish my teachers weren't so overly strict and I could just shatter their image of me "that kid's gonna make it someday if he keeps it up this way", because I want to LIVE A LITTLE. And that's the only thing I envy some of my classmates for - their care-free attitude, which I can't seem to apply to my own life, as well.
That being said, I don't really miss school. For me it starts in September. Most kids are overly excited to go back and see their friends etc. Not me.
School sucks.

I understand perfectly. I dont think there would ever be a time when I will not be a student. Directly from college I went to earn my nursing degree. During that same time I was in theology school. Now shortly after that I am now a pre-med student. Studies invigorate me, and if you have the heart of a student my friend, go for it, sometimes its the way out of alot of our situations financially too, especially with alot of financial aid out there;and things have changed so much we can study as our life caters and not necessarily cater our lives to our studies.

I know how you feel. I also miss being a student. just like you, i miss the deadlines every time we were asked to do reports in different subjects. I can't forget the time when all of us took a removal examination in mathematics. Haha that is so embarrassing for us since we are English majors. But it's okay because all of us are still united.
ofcoures who can forget terror professors that makes your heart beats 100x faster than its normal beat the moment that he/she steps in the classroom.. There is one time that all of us agree not to go in his class because he always bombard us with the lesson never been discussed in his class then suddenly the moment he steps in the classroom he asked us to answer several question which we don't know. No one enters the classroom that time.
Well, that was just a part of how naughty I am during my college days. But even though we are that naughty, we see to it that all of us were included on deans list at the end of the semester.
How I wish I could turn back time. I really miss being a student. Right now I am taking my Master but it is not the same as I am in college because now, my classmates were older than me in fact I am the youngest student in our class so I cannot do the same thing as I do in college.
You are right, those students wants to finish school as soon as possible but I advice them to enjoy being a student first because that is only once in a lifetime..
