In these modern times, who is more vain - men or women?

I have a lot of guy friends now who is actually more vain than the girl friends that I know. Men tend to use more beauty products than me actually. They make sure that they have a good looking outfit and their hair should be tame at all times. Women of course, its given that they always make sure that they always look pretty everyday. And come to think of it, nowadays, men are also vain too.
But in your opinion, are you more vain than the other?

Hi there. We are living in the world that requires you to be more presentable. For me, both men and women became more vain nowadays. Who would not? Based on studies, the more presentable you are, the more respect people would give you.
We are now living in a material world, agree or not that's true. Isn't it when we are walking on streets, we sometimes don't admit this but when we saw people who are not that presentable as us, we tend to think different things about that person and sometimes we easily judged them that they anytime they can commit a crime. Well, that is my opinion.. :-P

I agree that the world requires a person to always be presentable. But for me being vain is putting on too much effort to be beautiful which I can say that there's nothing wrong to it, but some people just make it their habit or their hobby to just become beautiful or sometimes be someone they are not.
If I see someone not so presentable, I always think that there's always a story, that maybe he just got off work and was so tired to even look at the mirror, or that person has not eaten yet because there's nothing in the fridge, or maybe that person broke up with his or her partner and does not have time anymore to fix his or herself.
So there it is, I dont know, maybe not too much on being vain, because we are always judged by our personalities and not much on the outer looks.

That's a tough one. I would say gay guys but that isn't available. lol Men can be very vain but so can women. I am not vain at all. Women want to look pretty everyday yes but wait until you have worked for several years with a gay guy who dresses right out of GQ! He was so vain. Sweetheart but vain.

I think as a whole women are more vain. They are also looking at other women to see if others have figured a way to look even better. Me? I'm not vain at all. If people do not like my looks, well, that's their problem, now isn't it? I do nothing special. I'm just me.

I think women is still vain than men but Their are also lot of men who are also vain about how they look and especially with their hair and the clothes they wear which they are so particular with the brand.It really depends on the person though if he/she is vain or not.
