Time is GOLD they said. Well it is true indeed we cannot bring back a even a single second in our life. When a second pass, it will be considered as a history in our life.
When I am still studying I have this little notebook with me, it contains the schedule of task that I should do for a week, it includes the time that I should wake up and the rest will be my time in schools and so on..
Well i found it very effective for me because I was able to make all my task for that specific day.
But things changed now, I am not doing that anymore since I started working I realized that I just got super busy with my life that I don't even have time to make any schedules for myself. Well, i think that's life, we cannot always do the same things that we do in our past.
how about you? Is time management effective nowadays?

Hi eynjel_1988,
Yes, its good to establish time management in our daily schedule. Its usually effective for students and busy people who work in the office. However, when something crops up like in emergency situations wherein you have to respond quickly, our established daily routine is affected. Our work takes a backseat because we have to attend to this emergency. Some people do not anymore use time management because it is hard to follow. While others who say they do this, affirms that they are successful and more comfortable with it.

Yes. That is why even though we are establishing time management everyday, we should also consider emergency that may happen and it will affect the daily schedule that we set for that particular day. So we should also learn how to be flexible so that when emergency happens, we can still handle our time and the day will still be accomplish successfully. Thank you1

Time management is really important for us people so that we will be able to do our task well by not regreting it later on. Time runs so fast and it is up to us on how to manage it.Yes a lot of people fail because their is no time management and the successful ones are managing their time well.

Time management is VERY effective, provided that you strictly follow what you have planned, and make sure that at every part of the schedule you've made, be able to produce the expected output. That way, if you have a "follow-up" schedule, which is based on a previous record of your schedule, there won't be any problems and mix-ups. I experienced that one time (a lot of times actually LOL), when it was either I wasn't on time with the schedule, or was not able to produce output, that I had to adjust, and the whole timetable was ruined.

Time management is still effective. It is just really up to us how do we do it. When you cannot accomplish the certain task in a day your are supposed to because you have lots of things to do then you reschedule. You would be still practicing time management with that. It does not mean you missed a task you, mismanaged your time. Situations are different and we solve them uniquely. I suggest you continue managing time. It will help you a lot.

Time management is very important to complete tasks. We don't want to cram to submit projects on a specified deadline. We should learn how to do multitasking especially nowadays that work papers are getting piled up on desk every hour and at home wherein we have to complete all house chores. I'm working in the office and I post in MyLot if I have any avail time because I am happy to learn and to give advice to MyLot members, earning some cents at the same time too. :)

Many business use time management because it is more productive. One Company I know of instructs employees how to select items for shipment. The company is a large distribution center for many smaller retail stores. Each store orders items and the number they want. A computer breaks down the order to put the same kinds of products in the same bin and then figures out the correct number to go into each bin. The employee takes the slip and places the items in the bin following the diagram provided by the computer. When the bin arrives at the store all the items in the bin go on a specific shelf and the store employee is not waisting time going down different aisles. Very efficient.

Of course, it is very effective, it still is. Good time management will actually make us even more productive. You have a very good plan when you were studying. Me, I still am managing my time. I have a planner too and I plan many tasks for a day to make my days more productive than ever. I balance, school, work, and also for fun time. I think we should really practice good time management to make our lives a lot easier, more productive, and more fun.

Time management is still very important.
especially in the present that requires us to do multitasking jobs
Many work is done simultaneously and certainly requires concentration and focus...
so i concluse that time management is still required and off course still important
many success man can control and manage their time...
and many people become fail because can`t control their time and can`t manage their time...
all of us had same time, 24 hours everyday

Hi mates, I think time management is still essential to have in our life no matter what we are doing in life..Since someone has to know their priorities and know how to manage them properly while not ignoring the important task as well..For example, if you have bunches of email, you should know which one is urgent but not priorities and urgent+ priorities, then you can manage any situation or delegate to someone else if you could..proper time management will also reduce your stress level in the long run..
have a nice day and happy mylotting..

Everything nowadays are getting more and more competitive and the demands are also getting higher and higher, therefore I should say that time management is even much more important and should be even more effective now. If you know how to manage time things will be just as organized resulting to good results on your tasks. The busier one gets, the greater the need for effective time management.

in indian holly books like ramayan or geeta time is consider as a most valuable thing.some of the say if you respect time then time will respect you.it means if you lost your time without any productivity then its dangerous for u.for doing any perticular thing there is a specific time.in this time perioud if you dont complet your work then no meaning for that work.so time is a more critical thing , so we must need to save it,...

As a government employee, time management for me is quite effective. Being a Secretariat in a Technical Working Group for the establishment of an "Approved Budget for the Contract" (ABC)of the Bids and Awards Committee of a certain organization, time management is a must. some people cannot fulfill other activities because according to them they are - busy. But don't you know that only busy persons have time for everything?
