Oh no, I don't throw away my old books. I have lots of old books here at home. I am gathering them as a collection. I am planning to make a mini library here at home. Pretty soon my kids will use them as their reference especially if they have assignments or homework. It's nice to collect books and from time to time if I have spare time, I always grab one, browse it and begin reading it until I get so sleepy and will eventually dose me off to sleep.

:D So books can make you sleep! I always wonder how that works since people told me that they usually read a book then they could fall asleep.

I give them to charity or I sell the book to those stores that buy used books for a small price. It's good because sometimes you can trade for others books that you really want.

I think this is good,to trade to get the books that interest us. But I never saw this kind of stores before.

I ended up keeping the books that I really like and giving to charity shops that I don't like anymore. Then I think that the charity will get some money and the new reader will feel happy. At university I studied a unit in children's literature and I can't wait until I can share the books with my disabled son and my daughter.

I can hand some of them down to my younger sister... =)
And the rest I donate to charity shops like Oxfam! That way I don't just throw them away.

I've pretty much kept my books from university. I really don't like selling and/or getting rid of my used books. Sure, it might be a good idea to get rid of the books that I know I'll probably never use, but I'd much rather just hang on to them.

In my country there are second hand book stores. I have a friend who has money problems and loves to read. I separate the books I donĀ“t want anymore. He chooses what he wants for himself and exchanges my other old books with the second hand book people. He knows them all

hello wang! well, i used to sell them in bookstores where people do buy and sell books. if i can't sell them, donate them to those children or schools who most need it then. there are people who wants to read books, why not let your books be of other's hands... it's much better to help on by giving those books which you no longer need.

After my graduation from junior middle school , i kept all my textbooks . I did the same when graduating from high school .But the situation was totally different when i got my balchalor degree. For that i don't like my major very much ,all of my textbooks seemed useless to me .And i left them in my dormitory .I guess the administrator ,an old lady must have selled them .Nowadays, i am some kinds of miss my textbooks in college . After all ,they convey lots of unforgettable memory .

Yea you are right. While i was in my own country, the school use to provide us the textbooks for using and we use to return it back to school so the juniors can use them. But after coming to India for further studies, I bought lots of text books. First year I bought book and then after completing the first year I resold them to the same book shop at the half of the buying price. But now I am not selling it back. I am just keeping for myself. Later on when we are settled we can have our own bookshelf. That would be nice and encouraging to our children later on.

It's a great pity that some books have been sold as wastes.Cause there are so many books until i graduates and some indeed need to deal with. But i still keep some good books which i think is helpful. But i think next time i'd rather donate these to the children who can't afford books and who need them.

I am a book lover and I am good at collecting them. So I don't throw them away or donate them. When I was in college I go to booksales if I don't have plenty of money to buy new ones during my vacant hours. My children will be able to use it someday. So I always keep them safe in their own shelf.

Some books I keep for all time. Then there are others that I sell on half.com and ebay. I also have sold books at flea markets and yard sales but not that often because loading that heavy weight on the truck is a burden. Text books I like to keep because I blog a lot and use them for research.

I don't throw away and sell my books. My books are precious to me because they help me graduate. And being a nurse now I will surely need my books future references. They will still be helpful to me taht is why I make sure I keep them because my parents also tried hard to help me buy my books
