which is advisable? taking generic drug or the branded drug?

hi optimist you are just tossing good money away byinsisting on bane brands as they are all the same chemicals the same quality you are paying for the name, allare made in same factories the same amo unt of medicine is in each pill then some are put in fancy packages as brand names and you are ripped off. I talked to my pharmistist and he told me they are all the same tablets, pills, capusles but some are marked generic some are name branded and charged more for the 'same quality of product.I say take the generic and save some money as they all started out the same way ,same quality same strength, just packaged cheaply or expensively.'

I have always heard an read that generics are just as good as good and effective as the branded ones. I used to think like that until I heard many times that generics are good too.

hello, i usually buy the medicines that are prescribed by my doctor. You know doctors don't prescribe the generic name only the brand name so I buy it as prescribed. I don't know if it's true but I heard that the effect of a branded medicine is twice as that of the generic ones.

hi:) as for me I only take those medicines that the doctor prescribed, so whatever they ask me to buy that's only what I take. but for what I saw on the commercials of generic medicines they said it has same effect like branded one, just that its cheaper.
