I like writing..and will like it forever. But sometimes I am doubtful about my skill. I don`t always produce good writing/articles. I like writing about football and I started doing it when I was in high school. I won the 2nd prize at the competition held by online media and I got a job as forum contributor for online football forum but the boss suddenly ran away and only paid my salary for 4 months. Then I got a job as translator and writer for a monthly football magazine in Indonesia. Despite being a former English teacher, my boss still spotted some mistakes and my writing was not that good enough. The translation finally progressed but the writing took time...the situation in my office started to get worse, the management was bad. I worked with great people, my managing editor is never rude when reminding me of my mistakes or warning me. Due to unhealthy working condition, he left and I left. I still have passion in writing, especially football and one of the photographers from a sport paper suddenly offered me a job as writer at his place, even he arranged interview with the editor-in-chief. I still have that passion but i am not sure whether i am a good writer or not..I think I am failure, eventhough some say that it takes time to be a good writer, even some have to face that their writing is rjected a thousand times. I think I need motivation...help!!

Just keep writing, you'll improve with time as you keep creating articles or whatever it is you enjoy writing. My writing has improved a lot and I think my reviews are becoming better and better as I keep writing.

Hi Jasmeena, nothing wrong with your writing skill but there is something wrong with your self esteem, and your thinking.
Do you realize that you are attracting failure because you keep thinking about how lousy you are?
If you do not stop this kind of thinking, you are going to sink very far.
I think you can check out some articles in various writing sites for the time being, look at how lousy some articles are, and yet they are all making money.
As long as there is money coming in, you will feel better.
You are plainly not very good at dealing with office politics, and you tend to let other people affect you.
On the positive note, I have read a writer said that he earned a few thousand dollars per month just writing about football.
You can join Associated Content as a featured writer, and write about soccer.
Bear in mind to use the word, soccer, and not football, so that you can attract more page views, and earn from both upfront and passive income.
I think you can look at $4000 after a year of continuous writing about soccer, and the different teams, and certain star players.

Writing takes a lot of time, commitment, and passion. Even some of the greatest writer's doubt themselves. Some ideas to get you into writing again would be to do a blog & do writing spurts where you write for 10 minutes, uninterrupted, about anything you can think of without stopping.
I've recently started writing again & for the longest time I wouldn't show anyone my work all because I thought it wasn't good enough. I would submit poetry under a different name & everything. I won a poetry contest & even had it published in a book, but didn't tell anyone it was me.
Never give up. Best of luck!

The passion is there....so just keep on writing....every good writer started at some point.....writing is a skill, it can be developed and that passion in you will be the great motivator....even if you have a talent and no passion, that would be nothing....don't stop, just keep on writing you will soon be one of the best writers. cheers!

You become what you think about. I don't even know if you are coming back or if you are still active. You will never be a good writer if you don't have the time to read and write. Skills take time to develop. Don't expect to be a five star writer if you haven't written anything in your entire life. Take some writing classes if you think you need them.
