Newspapers educate readers on current events. This means they will be aware of issues concerning them and others from around the world. It can also help you decide the politicians you could vote for from reading and keeping tabs on what they have done.

Is it strictly the paper kind newspaper? Or is it general and online newspapers count? I think you've already stated the main reason: Knowledge is power. The more they know the more they will be able to actively participate and act on society issues. Reading newspapers also improves vocabulary, and can help in your spelling too.

That's not important. I do not understand why adults always want young people that we read newspapers. Are we just in the world to know about the world? I can see other things in life more important.

Newspaper reading promotes their general knowledge. As you said, it remains up to date, etc. but you can also seek inclusions such as current events in class, which is becoming very well. It shows that you are interested in what goes on in the world itself.

I'm assuming that we read every day now, not the stupid newspaper, can indeed sometimes be entertaining but in the long run ...!" To regularly read the newspaper as a teenager, may help to see things in context, it makes you think, you ask yourself questions themselves in order to understand a little better. And anyway, you can have a say, you learn to articulate better. And who knows, maybe you will discover for yourself areas of interest that you would not have discovered. It is very important not to lose his curiosity.

It is important to all not only the young to read the newspaper everyday. Its our way of knowing what's happening in our world. Newspapers are the source of information around the globe but it also needs some critical assessment if what is written is based on facts or merely the opinion of the writer. Nowadays, there are really disturbing or highly sensationalized. So there is also a need to sieve what you read

I would say it is also important because a lot of people, young and old alike, often discuss news and current events. So reading the newspaper and being up to date will help you have meaningful discussions with others, be it at school or work or wherever. Newspapers also have an advantage compared to online news sources that they go into the issues a bit deeper, so a newspaper will generally help you understand current events better than a website.

- (Current) political awareness - Current economic situation - General knowledge (partially) It must be said that of course depends on the newspaper. If there is any newspaper is more than facts and figures dizziness writes so brings you to read such a newspaper and nothing.

Hi, there! :) Most people nowadays especially the younger ones don't pay attention to reading newspapers. I think, I must admit too that I do not read the newspaper everyday. I must admit that I don't know what's going on in the world. Hehehehe.. But I must agree that reading newspaper is so important for everyone of us. We must be knowledgeable enough of what's going on in our environment. :)
