A lot of times cops get a bad rep because so many of them are so cocky and let all the power and control get to their heads. My boyfriend's dad is a cop and I've never met someone that I've hated so much. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with him being a cop, or if it's just that he has a bad personality. Then I know another cop that owns the barn where I keep my horse and he's not cocky at all. He's a goofy, down to earth guy that doesn't let the job get to his head. I think it all depends on the person. My boyfriend plans on becoming a cop but I don't think he'd ever be the cocky, arrogant type.

hi look cops or police officers is really nicer are just human being good,bad, and indifferent.many are really great men with families and children. of course to law breaking people they are the badies
but thats just tough as a good police officer is supposed to stop the law breakers. lol lol lol

Yeah.I didn't mention that cops have a bad reputation here in our country. Right now I think it's fine with me. I have no choice haha and besides I whatever he is because I love him. I just had this thought when I was a child that someday I will marry a doctor, a lawyer, engineer, business man or maybe a nurse..but not a cop. Lol

lol You can't help who you fall in love with. Being a cop is a good profession I think. I didn't mean cops are mean or anything, I was just saying that some of them can be cocky and arrogant because they think they're so powerful. I know plenty of cops that are super nice and down to earth, while others I know can be real jerks.

Jonahh, you actualy didn't hate cops.
You only have had some preconceptions about the JOB called police officer.
Maybe you "hate" the title or the job, but you have no reason to hate the man behind the uniform.
And mother Nature, or life, or Faith, or karma, name it as you want - have just served you a nice peacefull lesson

Well it just goes to show you that not all people, or cops, are the same. I have dealt with all types of policemen. They are taught how to deal with people and each does it in their own way. They have a job to do and the peace to keep. They also have to protect themselves and their co-workers.

I know a few cops and they are all very nice. I guess some of them could be arrogant and think they are better than everyone else. It depends on the person, after all it is just a job and everyone is different. The thing that I would be concerned about is how dangerous it can be!

Love knows no boundaries! I told myself i would never have a relationship with anybody younger than me but i ended up marrying someone three years younger than me.
So you can never really tell who to love. 
Don't worry, not all cops are bad people. Some will handle their duties very well. I'm sure your guy is considered one of the good cops.

hi jonahh08 ha ha well serves you right as police officers are just human beings like anyone else. some good,some bad, some in between.
Also it helps if one is brought up to respect the police and not call them cops or expect them to arrest you just for blinking at them.
