Here is a question I want to ask, would there be some agencies can help people out to find a legal tenant to rent a house simply for a week or two? A friend of mine question me on this question, because he will love to rent out his house for a week since he will be away for a vacation. At the same time, he would like to make some money from it since his house will be available. One issue though to concern. Some tenants simply treat his house like a hotel room, they might trash it or break things. Or they might even demolish the house when he came back. How should he protect it if there is such tenant. I knew there are might be market for it. Some people might want to rent a house for the weekend, or simply rent it for a week or something. Any suggestion?

I think that he should write up a very detailed legal agreement this will protect him in case something should happen with his home. He also needs to take before and after pics and vids of his home in case he should need to take the tenant to court for damaging his home. With all this in place, he should feel confident in renting his home, and in case damage should happen, he should not hesitate to move forward with the legal process.

Renting the house for a couple of weeks is possible. But you may have to pay the rent for the entire month. This is a common scenario these days. I advise you to contact a local real estate agent in your area. You will surely get the info you are searching for. You can also check out online sites, I would recommend lone star realty.

I honestly do not think I would rent my place out. the damage that could be done may be way more than what could be earned from renting it to someone. It just is not worth it.

I am not sure that that is possible. I think that it would be much safer if he had a friend that say lived with family that wanted to take a week away from them? Say the friend pays him like $50.00 or less just for the use of the bathroom and his food and kitchen? I don't think any agency exist that would assist for just one week.
