One of my cousin is always mixed up with pyramid like scams or companies where you have to buy something in order to join and then recruit people to join under you. Some are legal but some .....Im not sure!!
Six months ago, he was mixed up with some kind of telephone company. You have to buy the telephone which is very expensive, you also have to pay for a landline. That telephone has videos, but it can only be used with people who have the same telephone. Its not even portable!!
I told him that I didnt have a landline anymore and that Im not interested in trying to nag my family to buy such an expensive phone when it can all be done with a cell phone.
This time, he's selling some kind of shake that you drink to lose weight. Oh its all very nice but again, you need to recruit people under you so you can make money off it. I cant see myself drinking a shake in the morning, noon and then have a bit of food come evening. I like crunchy food. What will happen once you stop the shakes?
I told my cousin that I wasnt interested in having shakes as food.
Have you ever had to deal with someone in your family who's always trying to get you mixed up in something or other?
How do you react to this? Would you drink shakes twice a day so you could lose weight? Do you think its healthy?

Although we have a product we use and sell, I will not join any others, especially if they are claiming to be new. We do car shows with our product, and it works. As for shakes, that is the same as Slim Fast, and I find them boring. I do not crave sweet foods like these shakes, but rather I crave savory things like hot bread, pizza, and tacos. Shakes just do not do it for me.

Probably. Some people just live for the chase and the scheme, though.

I think he does. I cant believe all the pseudo businesses he tried to start. Now he's in his late 40's and still have nothing to his name. Shame because his two brothers are doing very well. You're right, some think they'll hit it big by not having to work.

Same for me, shakes dont do it for me. I like crunchy foods!!!
I couldnt live on shakes to begin with. Id rather eat toasts 3 times a day, at least I can burn them a little so its crunchy lol.
That and the way he described that company, it sounds pyramidal.....and its illegal in Canada. So Im guessing that anytime soon, he might be out of a job......again!!

Hi!
To lose weight healthily, you just need exercise and diet. Drinking shakes can only increase your cravings.
A friend of mine tried it one time, but then she stopped and realized she's eating more! She gained weight.

I know all that. Thing is, Im not wanting to be on a diet, I dont have weight to lose for a start. He called me about this because he said I could make a LOT of money from it. Im simply not interested because the more he talked, the more it sounds like its a pyramidal company and thats illegal in Canada. That and everybody on shakes will gain weight as soon as they start eating again AND who knows what is in those shakes.....ewww!!
Yes, eating right and exercise is the only way to lose weight and keep it off.

Oh so this is all about business. Yeah I think you should really think about it. It'll be pretty hard to sell those.

I wouldn't trust anything like this, it's your health you're playing with.
However, the Slimfast diet calls for shakes twice a day and a "sensible" meal for dinner.
I guess it is possible that it would work, but as I just said, it's not worth the risk, especially when it comes from a scheme like the one you're describing.

I dont know about you, but drinking shakes twice a day will surely make me go into a depression because I just LUV crunchy foods. So right off, its out of the question. I like to cook for myself so I know what Im putting in my mouth. I cant even start to think about the crap in those shakes. I bet they come from some foreign country also. AND its a pyramidal company......illegal here in Canada.
Im not going to even try his shakes and I told him so.

I have heard of diets like this in the past, and I know of a couple of people who they've worked for. However, I couldn't do it personally because I know that I like proper food too much and I think that it would probably get me down a little bit if I had to drink shakes and nothing else for such a long time. You should never do something in a scheme like this though, as if the product was genuine and worked they would be able to sell it in its own right without having to promote schemes such as the one that your cousin is trying to get you to work underneath him in.

That has not happened to me.What you talked about your cousin's business is referred to as multiple level marketing over here, which lays a trap for people .I have never heard of that type of shake .It certainly contains Diuretics or makes you feel anorectic. If you want to lose weight, you must take balance diet and get plenty of exercise.

I have also been ina MLM company and it wasn't easy. I didn't last that long but I loved the products and is still using them. I don't advice drinking shakes for your diet. Is it in powder form? I think real diet comes from eating real food and exercise. But it is still your decision, I havent heard of the product yet, but if you trust that it works, you can ask your doctor first if its safe for you.

Oh dont worry, Im not planning on getting on with his "pyramid" scam. I never have. He's been selling all kinds of things and Ive never joined, but he keeps asking me over and over and everytime I use the same strategy with him. I tell him that he's such a good salesman that he should pay for the "product" and then find me people to work under me.......of course he never agrees to this I couldnt live drinking shakes all the time, YUK!! I like my food to be crunchy and fresh. I can imagine what type of crap there must be in those shakes.......ewwww!!
That and pyramidal companies are illegal here in Canada!!!
