Lying is somewhat that everyone does and children learn to do at a very precise age-around about 5 years old- the same age that they are becoming more independent and watching how others perform. Children discover what they see instead of what they are told. So if mommy is saying that everything is ok with tears in her eyes, then the child knows that she is sad and saying all is fine. If Dad does not actually want to play with the children because he is exhausted, the children learn about doing things that we do not feel like to. People lie to make themselves think well. This does not mean that you need to. Spiritual growth is about taking liability for your words and actions despite of what others are doing around you. Tell your truth as frequently as you can. Be real and remember that when you are being honest, you are allowing those around you to be honest as well.

Again, this is another discussion you made that made me think seriously. You are right, if you are being honest, you are encouraging others to be honest too. But not all the time we can trust other people to be honest, much more if they are being influenced. I have a friend, and I believe most of the time she is telling the truth, not until the time that I learned she lied to me about a certain event from the past. That made me lost my faith on her and I did not believe in anything she says anymore, although some on some parts I know she is telling the truth. However, we cannot tell the truth most of the time. Sometimes I tell alibis to avoid explaining too much that lead to argument and fighting. I just lie that this is what happens that make the discussion cut short. There are times that there are problems out of a mistake of someone and I admit it that I am part of the problem just to make it solve right away. We cannot avoid to lie. However, if we will lie we should think first before we put out words coming from our mouth. We never know what the consequence it might turned too.

People do lie and it is very sad. Lying is such a waste of time. People are going to find out and then what do you do? Tell another lie to cover the last one? It is such a waste of time and effort. Lying makes you a liar, it doesn't make you any of the things you lie about.

I read in a newspaper children learn to lie at the age of 6 months. They fool parents by fake crying. The above reasons you gave are truly acceptable. The atmosphere affects children.
Lying is not a good habit at all. Being truthful is more satisfactory.
Honesty is best policy.

children need a good environment to grow , they also need thoughtful parents , they should know what is right and what is wrong
