Significance of Good Intention

A good intention must be coupled with action.
A good intention not pursued cannot be called as good intention at all.
But let’s not judge and jump into conclusions why a good intention is not put in action.
There might be reason why it is not pursued and we must take those into consideration.
One reason might be lack of opportunity, which somehow can be a good and valid reason right?
A good example is when you want to help someone but you don’t have the ability to do so.
There are many good intentions left undone for a person who lacks opportunity, knowing much that good intentions usually comes in form of money.
Another reason is when the other person doesn’t want to accept the help being offered for doubting the good intention we want to extend.
You might feel desperate in this situation and pitied the person for doubting, but this kind of action can be considered consummated for being pursued.
As long as you have the urge of doing good things to other people in every situation having no second thoughts signifies the good intention of your whole being.
It’s not everyday that we are given the chance of helping other people, so, grab every opportunity to do one good deeds and you will be benefitted at the end.
As the saying goes “ reap what you sow” and every good deeds done with good intention will never comes out with bad results.
From the moment you plan to pursue any good intention, always bear in mind that there might be some hindrance to arise.
Whether it is due to some circumstances or might be the other person will decline.
At the end of the day you can tell yourself, you’ve done your best without having any feeling of regrets.
And sleep with gladness, contentment, peace of mind for another day that passed having done a task meant for you.
Good Morning dear mylotters

Hi jaiho: What an interesting discussion. you are right. I first think that good intentions are not enough but as you have mentioned, there are some moments where we don't have the skills or the possibilities to make things possible. As long as we keep these intentions to them and we work to make it real it's ok to stop for the moment and same happends when you want to help someone but he/she doesn't accept your help, there's no reason to feel bad because you havee already give your best and that's what should matters

Hi jai
I agree with you that our good intentions for carrying out some good tasks must be followed by some action. If we cannot convert out thoughts into action, then the other one cannot come to know that we were thinking about his/her welfare. If I want to help someone, I try my best and I do not keep him/her in dark. I do not make false promises for helping others. It is said that we should live our life for others, if we really want to ‘live’ our life in true sense because most of us live their lives for themselves.

Hi amega,
Good intention is always good but not to those who have hidden agendum. Lol. Sometimes our intention turns the opposite way we wanted it to be. Good day amega! It's nice to be here in your yard again. :-)

This is a good discussion topic and very broad and many ways to discuss. Likefor example many politicians, what do you think, they have good intention or they are naturally good promiser. We know that most of them are just promise but no action. They are good in some way but more on for their own good only, so that their intention (if can be consider) are good but action are waiting and waiting until forget.

hello friend,
You are right, and it's hard to determine whether it is a good intention or just one of their flowery words.
Anyway, let them do their thing..they're used to promising and keep it breaking all the time.
have a good day

hi jaiho,
HOW CAN I MISSED THIS DISCUSSION OF YOURS
I experienced before my intention was good but it was misinterpreted as bad one
Sometimes I think twice before doing any actions because not all people will believe on me if I say I've done it in good faith.

Hello Jaiho,
Of course there are several reasons why good intentions are not converted in to the actions and one of the reason i feel is that today people have lost faith in people and fear that if the person is showing generosity then it does not mean that he is having good intention he may be trying to take some benefits from you against it.

hello sjvg,
Intention with hidden agenda is not considered as good intention anymore.
Good intention must be of pure and honest and action without asking anything in return.
It doesn't make sense if any good intention has something behind it...there's no logic and it's never ever considered as GOOD.
Have a good day

There are many people who have good intentions, want to help others but find that their intentions are rejected. Many persons take the good intentions of others as an interference in their private affairs and try to avoid them. One should never force oneself on others with their good intentions even if those peopple are badly in need of help. Many persons have a lot of pride and would rather suffer silently than go to others for help.Such people even reject offers for help as they feel that they will be looked down upon by others. It is a very delicate situation and if one wants to help someone, they should firdt try to find out very tactfully if thst person really needs help and is willing to accept it.The best thing is to wait for the other person to approach you or if he is too shy, then very tactfully to approach the subject and only then give ones offer to help.

dear anna,
Precisely, some people go silently with suffering due to pride and ego than accepting or asking help from other people.
It is their choice and we can never do anything about it if that's what they prefer to choose.
Help offered is never been wasted thu it is being declined,we will be judge with our heart's intent anyway.
have a good day and nice to see you once in a while dear

I agree with almost every word you share here, to be sucessful in any venture, too much effort is needed and there is too much obstacles always, one has to try heard, never give up hope.

I know whenever you come with a topic there lays some pain or loss of hope behind it. May be whatever reason, this is the main cause for me to always prefer to attend your topics with undue respects. Here also, whatever you mentioned is a reality where when we weight such things with utmost care and importance, on the other way, the person who is meant for it never consider the respective values. This is natural and it can be measure only those people were in such a stage and at that point of time those people will realize the value of what you are written above.
A simple example, I had some good intentions when I joined a business and finding the growth and functioning, I requested some of my good friends to get the benefit of the same. Though they were unwilling, I insisted with a good intention to be part of it. As being our intention is GOOD, and in any chance, the result becomes negative, we would be the culprits. So, a good intention MAY end up in despire or undesired consequences. In most of the times it depend on various circumstances and it is we and our duty to have certain comprehension on the topic and subject matter. I mean to say, a simple good intention may cause bad effects due to various circumstances. That is all.
Best regards,
Thank-s

hello thanks,
Thanks for your response thu you seldom come online I can see that you try to response to my topic.
I've come to this topic from real life experience and good intentions yes sometimes are not pursued due to lack of opportunity which really caused some disappointment.
But,when good intentions are doubted by the receiver...it hurt really.
Anyway,it's hard to judge those people who decline the help offered...but rather respect their feelings and principle as well.
have a good day

A good thoughtful analysis of intentions and actions. Good intentions must be understood and reciprocated in a positive way. Nice to find you, 'J' in a new perspective.
