Why is that when you like someone, they either like someone or live somewhere?

I have a friend, on her first relationship, the man she loves lives miles away from her. No matter whatever they did just to save their relationship, it still came to an end. And then again, she had another relationship with this certain guy for almost 2 years. She loved this guy but then lately she discovered that this guy loves someone else... Why's life like that? When she came to like someone, they either like someone or live somewhere?..

Life sometimes can be really su*k, it doesn't always work out the way we want it to be, in a perfect and harmonial way, it is not always fill with bright outcome with happy ending for most of the people especially in love relationship. But we still need to continue to live our life to the fullest even with some minor setback once a while.
