Was so much profanity required in Delhi Belly?

I watched Delhi Belly recently. It seemed to be a good movie to start with. However I felt that there was a lot of undue profanity in it. Aamir Khan justified it by saying that this is what happens in the real world. So is this much profanity really observed in the real world. I do not think so. Also, it being an Aamir Khan movie I expected a lot from it. However I am sorry to say that it was not upto my expectations at least. Also remember that though it is an 18+ movie, with the easy access of the internet, the widespread use of television and cable tv in particular, the movie is sure to been seen by children. What effect shall that have on the children? Is it the right standard that we are setting up for them? Also movies are for entertainment, to be watched with family or friends. Would I like to watch it with my family? No. A little bit of profanity just to vent out frustration or to introduce a comic dialogue can be called aesthetic but this movie really disappointed me. What are your views on the same?

I agree that it does happen in the real world. I was staying in delhi with my friends and more or less everything that is shown in delhi belly did happen. I guess its a part of bachelor life. I enjoyed the movie and was nostalgic after watching the same.
I agree with you that this is not the standard which we should be setting up for the new generation and as you correctly pointed out that children could easily see the movie in internet and other sources.
One thing I find strange in our country is that minors are allowed to watch A grade movies in theaters. It should be stopped, which i feel.

That is interesting to know that as bachelors, many use this kind of language. However it seems a bit odd in movies and sends the wrong message. Also, I agree with you that minors should not be allowed to watch such movies or they should have lower ratings like 15+ or something similar. But who will enforce this? As it is, multiplexes are dying to sell their tickets and since they are usually priced higher than before, they are likely to sell them to anyone who buys them.
