I was a watching a very wonderful movie. While watching that, I noticed that tears were falling down on my cheeks. I was crying.! I couldn't stop myself from crying. Wow, it is my first time to really cry while watching a movie. I couldn't hold on my tears so I just let it fall. I was too emotional. But i think there's nothing wrong with that. It is nothing to be laugh at. I am afraid I might be a laughing stock for all of my friends. But I do believe that sometimes we are just carried away emotionally to something that is very dramatic.
Don't tell me that you have never cried while watching a movie. Come on just let your tears out. I tell you. It feels good.^^

When I watch sad parts of the movies, I do not really cry,but my tears just fall down on my cheek.I absolutely like this feelings. Sometimes I think I am too understatement, so I want to release myself by watching blue movies.I like such movies that can touch my heart and make me think about some meaningful things.I wanna introduce two movies that touch my heart deeply. They are The Cove and Schindlers List.

I should have clarified. I cry, but I don't sit there and ball. My tears just roll down my cheeks too (which is still crying in my opinion).
The Cove broke my heart. I cried during that too. What's heartbreaking is that it's true. It's horrible how heartless people can be.

I am so glad to find another person who also watched the great documentary The Cove too.I know little about dolphin before the documentary, but I really get angry about what Japanese government do to the dolphin. What a pity. Why human can not live in harmony with the animals? Maybe because we humans are too greedy.

It is very normal for me to drop tears when I watch a touching movie. Sometimes I even cry seriously. So sometimes I prefer to watch a movie alone, so nobody will know I am crying. I want to keep it secretly and I don't want people see I am crying.

I cry a lot of time`s while watching movie. yes its okay to let your emotion burst out while watching a very dramatic movie. I love to watch a romantic or dramatic movie because when I`m watching it I feel the story and sometimes I relate my life to the story. I just love it.

Oh my God, tess_quinain! I am a cry baby when it comes to dramatic, love story, tragic type of movies. Imagine, when I watched Captain America, an action film that is right? But the last part when Steve has to sacrifice himself so the plane won't crash and kill many people and then there's Peggy who was still setting up a date with him and begging him to show up as she was softly crying, I really cried hard on that scene. And my boyfriend was like giggling at me.
I have cried to a lot of mushy films and this is one of the simple things in life I am thankful that, not only me, but all of us could enjoy. And yes, I do agree with you, just let tears roll out, it really feels good!

I've cried while watching movies before. For some reason I like watching films that can bring out that emotional response from me. I guess it's because movies like tha are usually about things with depth and don't just focus on superficial things. I think that movies that touch you deeply are worthwhile.
I think that it's nothing to be ashamed of. I've watched movies with my boyfriend before and seen him cry as well. I make fun of him jokingly but I don't tell anyone about it. I don't think it would bother him if I told people though. I like it when guys show that they have emotion. I think the constant macho thing is just an act for many guys. I like it when people are real about their emotions. It let's you see another side of them and let's you know there's a softer side. It would scare me if someone saw something horrible or depressing and had no reaction or feelings to it (although the reaction doesn't always have to be crying since not everyone may react with crying).

Hi tess!
If your friends laugh at you for crying over a movie, then they are insensitive!
I always cry over a movie. Well, of course it depends on what kind of movie it is. But I don't really stop my tears from falling. I just can't because they will keep on falling no matter how hard I stop them. I just don't cry over movies, I also cry over television shows. Usually about family drama or something. I think it's good to cry especially if you don't get to cry once in a while. I like crying because it wets my eyes and it lessens dryness. And I feel so human when I cry.

Hi tess! You are not alone! I cry all the time when I am watching
a sad movie! I am not ashamed to admit it either. I used to go
to the movies with one of my girlfriends and she would always
laugh at me for crying, but I didn't care! I can't help. If a
movies is sad, I cry. If I know a movie has a scene where a
pet or any animal is going to die I won't see the movie because
that is the worst for me. I don't think that crying is a bad
thing either. It is a natural emotion that proves you are human
and have real feelings!

Hello Opal26.
Yes, that's right. There's nothing wrong with crying. We cry because we have emotions. We are humans and not animals or robots. It's shameful to cry sometimes but we just get carried away. Sad movies make us cry.

I am not really embarrassed to cry during a movie. And if anyone laughs about it I just play the girl card on them. Haha. However, that being said... I have a severe problem with crying during really weird movies. I mean, I get that the girl card works for romantic films when the guy chases down the girl in the rain and begs her to never leave him and it's just all so sweet that I feel like crying. But, why on earth do I cry during KID'S movies! I mean, really... the puppy made it's way home and I don't even like dogs but I'm blubbering all over the place. Can I use the girl card on that too? Usually I just fib and tell the people I'm watching the movie with that my period is getting ready to start or it just finished or something of the sort so they think I'm just major PMSing and crying because of that. Haha.

Oh, I have to add this... I once went on a date with a guy to watch that movie 'Where the Wild Things Are' and I about fell out my seat to see this guy sniffling and sobbing through the WHOLE movie. Not just when things got sentimental at the end. I was so shocked I asked him what was wrong and he tried to say he had allergies, I'm not buying that... I know the difference. Lol Anyhow. The most I could get out of him was that he used to read the book while growing up so he felt very attached to the movie.

LOL~I'm actually surprised that it is the first time you ever cried because of a movie, tess. It must be a very touching one.
Man,I always get emotional when I watch some touching movies or TV series, especially those love stories.I still remember I was watching A Walk to Remember while a friend of mine sent a message to me via Skype asking what I was doing,I told him I was crying. He was worried that something might happened to me.And I said,"No,I was just watching A Walk to Remember."Then he said he would not disturb me and let me finish with it.Haha.
It's quite normal for people to cry while they feel touched. There is no need to worry that you're gonna be a laughing stock.I doubt they never ever cried while watching movies.

Yes, there is no problem on crying while watching a movie. I have not remember that I cried in any movie that I watched before, maybe because I am good of holding it back. Or maybe I was not touched or carried away by the story. I know it feels good to cry if you are really touched. But I have this ability that once I cried during that day it will be hard for me to stop crying, a little sad music will still keep me crying even though the movie had ended already. That's why as much as possible I hold on my tears.

Crying while is OK. It is nothing wrong with it. To be honest, I'm a guy, when I watch emotional movies, sometimes, I burst into tears.I think it's not a big deal. But my classmates will laugh at me, when I tell this...
I insist, it is nothing wrong with it. On the contrary, I enjoy it. It make me relax, that is true me.

Haha.Yeah, guys sometimes have hard time telling others that they cry while watching movies. For some guys who want to be masculine, they think crying makes them seem a little sissy. But hey,who said guys can't cry.It only means they are sensitive to pain and hard feelings, too.
There is no need to be afraid of letting your emotions out and being the true self.

I think that there are times when we all need to allow our emotions to flow. They are rarely reasonable, yet are a good release valve. As we go through life, we all enounter many sad and tragic situations that can happen to us or others. Many of us are encouraged to put on a brave face because those close to us do not like to see us upset, so we tend to follow what they say and push down our sadness and smile. Yet this does not disappear, but stays deep within our minds and nervous system and then, if something reminds us of our buried sadness, the mind sees an opportunity to let it out, but at the same time we don't want to because we have been encourage to show happiness at all times. That is a simple explanation as is it far more complicated taht what I have described, but as therapist, I have helped many people rid themsevles of the stress that can get created by buried and hidden emotions. _Derek

I love sad movies and I love the fact that it makes you cry. Sometimes I re-watch a sad movie just to get a good cry. It might sound weird but its the greatest feeling to be able to cry and not actually feeling sad. This might not make much sense but I believe there are good movies in every genre and they should be appreciated whether it makes us have stomach cramps from laughing too much or puffy eyes from crying too much.

It is but normal to be carried away by our emotions when we watch movies. Specially, when we can relate to the movie, or it happened to us, we will surely cry because of the sadness it caused us too, when we experienced it.
I think, i cried most when i watched Titanic. The love that Jack has for Kate Winslet was exceptional.

Sure! I've let tears roll during movies though I try to not let it disturb others. Some movies I can't help it (such as Little Women) and others, just depends on how I feel at the time.

LOL! I'm quite known to my friends as someone who easily cry during dramas or movies. It really feels good when you cry out especially when watching a movie. My friends don't laugh at me but they do tease me a little about. It only shows that you appreciate the film/show :D
