Better it is to remain thirsty when pure drinking water is not available around.

When Its about survival you have to drink dirty water.
If available you should Drink pure water, or if resources are available you should treat it. As impure water causes many health issues we should be aware about purity.
But when you are at a place where there are just two options drink impure water or die due to thirst. Then, its not wise decision to die.
