Don't accept it and don't worry about it, cos the more you worry about it, the more energy you are giving it and indirectly you are bringing it into reality. I believe you must have heard of the phrase, 'Self-fulfilling prophecy'. It is real, as I have personally experienced it many times.

My uncle is schizophrenic. Mental illness kind of runs in my family. I have bipolar, my late brother had bipolar and an uncle of mine has bipolar.
I am not sure how much schizophrenia runs in genes, I mean I don't know the tendencies or how prone you are to have it yourself, however I say stressors have a lot to do with it.

Well it usualy shows up in your teens and till your mid 20s but it does show up a little later in life sometime due to stress. It just triggers it is what I learned. My grandmother was schizophrenic and she would talk to people that were not there and cover the light sauckets with WET wash rags. The more diluted the gene pool the less likely you will get it. Keep an eye out for it and be diligent; it's when you slack up that something like that sneaks up on you and bites you when it's too late. If caught early enough one can live a very normal life, not completely but close. What is normal any way?
