Facebook becoming a dirty site

Sorry for the term "dirty", but I cannot find a more appropriate word for it. I noticed the growing population of hookers using facebook to get customers. And of course, the best way to sell themselves is to post their most provocative photos. And the comments can really be so nasty and, well, dirty. I wonder if there is something people behind facebook can do about this. I know, I know, other people's activity is not my business anymore. But pardon my sentiment, I just miss the old, clean facebook that I used to know.

I agree Face Book has some nasty things going on there, I have never really liked it all the half naked pictures that we would rather not see and all the foul language that they get away with I am a member there but I use it for a job that I do and once in a while to talk to to family but I actually hate it!!! They really should clean it up!!

I think that many of us thought that there is going to happen eventually with something like Facebook. For every person who uses it for decent uses, there are going to be a few more people who are going to pop up that are going it for a lot of devious purposes. It is most certainly not the most family friendly place on the Internet and given a lot of the places on the Internet, that is really saying something to say the very least. Of course with the door open for this thing, there are going to be far more people who are going to now be doing this, more for it to control. I do wonder how much Facebook really cares. Most likely not to say the very least, but even if they did, I don't really know how much they can really do. Then again, one must wonder if it is going to be that way to say the very least.

I think Facebook must do something about this. Even if Facebook members are unstoppable, I still believe there is a way to clean up Facebook.

i dont know i think it just depends on your friends.for me i choose wisely who i want to see on my facebook and so the only persons i know of are the ones that are there. that is the reason why i dont see some dirty persons there. i think facebook is not safe anymore, it can be used by criminals and as you say hookers.

Even if we choose to accept only those we know, or we are familiar with, our friends do not do the same. I actually discovered a hooker from my cousin's FB wall. You know how it goes, right? You will be notified with your friends' activities, like who they are the people they accepted as friends, or whose status they commented on, etcetera. I got a notification that my cousin is now friends with this girl who has a strange sounding pseudo name. And when I opened the girl's profile, there it is.. all her contact info, her schedule, and her provocative pictures. There are also comments from male friends, who I assume were past clients, giving testimonies on how great her service is.
