And at least once a week I like to read and or comment on discussions with no responses. To help other people out. I feel it is a shame to write a discussion and not get any responses. I mean if it is a good discussion and not something that is nonsense. I know in the past I have started good discussions, and not had any responses. And it can be really frustrating. So what does everyone else do?

If you start a Post that is really thought provoking, the odds are, you will not get any responses. People want quick easy answers that do not require any thought. They also like to read other answers so that they can just build on them.
I check the no response area every day. I usually find my own posts there. Its nice to re-visit them...lol I do not usually find you there however.

I can't remember the last time I had a no response discussion, but I do come close. Some of my discussions only get a few responses. I don't think alot of my friends here on mylot are really on anymore. I usually get email notifacations when they write something. Bout ready to go through my list.

That is so sweet of you. I will try to do the same. It is a random act of kindness!

Though I do sometimes have a hard time visiting mylot with my job and all. I can pretty much do everything on my phone, but mylot is not easy to navigate on my phone.

I do check that tab occasionally. Sometimes they are not very good discussions and sometimes the people just have not gotten noticed yet. I can answer those that are just overlooked, but I will not waste my time on nonsense.

I hear you, and I don't answer nonsense discussions either, because they are only looking to make quick money.

Hi irishmist, if I have ample time here and couldn't find any topics which I have some things to talk about I usually would browse No Responses to see there is any interesting discussion to participate in. I rarely start new discussion recently for I come here only whenever I could eke out time to type one or two posts while busy with my essential routine. Very often a single post may be completed working here on and off
If starting a new discussion I need more time to add comment in the response boxes. It's a great pleasure as well to write comments when receiving new responses In case there isn't any response available in a new discussion don't feel frustrated and give time for others to join in the discussion unless the topic needs special or technical knowledge and info to reply.
Have a nice day

Sometimes I have a hard time finding discussions to comment on, some nights I just read without responding, just to see whats going on.

I have had a hard enough time getting all my notifications done daily since I haven't been feeling very good lately for some reason. But usually when I finish my posts I will go to the website and see if there are any interesting posts there. Mostly in the 'Hot', 'new' or favorite categories.

Hi irish,
You do a nice thing. It really does feel terrible to start a discussion and have no one to respond. I have been lucky, because from the very beginning I had some very loyal friends in mylot who always responded and made the discussions interesting. But maybe some people aren't so blessed. You do a good thing.
As for myself when I was a regular here, I used to visit the no response pages. To be frank, it wasn't always about helping that person, but mostly, I like being the first one to respond. I am a little childish, you know...

Lol I hear you. And we always hope that,, that person will visit our page. Which that is something else I do as well. I visit peoples pages that have comment on my discussions, and I comment on at least 1 discussion, sometimes I find myself reading many of the persons discussions.

Wow, I certainly see you have responded to my discussions. That's great. This is quite interesting. I have never done this kind of thing before. Of course, sometimes if the user has posted a great response(or maybe have some hot picture of a girl ) I do visit their profiles and take a look at their discussions and participate in them.
But this is a great way to keep going. I will definitely try this. Who knows what interesting discussions I will end up in..!!!

I haven't had a problem in a long time, but any friend of mine who has an "unloved" discussion is welcome to drop me a PM, and I'll go comment. And I do check out the "no responses" tab if I have time, and comment on anything that is at all interesting...

There are times where I tend to go to the no responses discussions. There are many times where if you are feeling as if you are not finding enough discussions that are to your liking, there is going to be a lot of times where there are going to be some overlooked gems. On some of the busier days on this website, there are going to be a lot of topics that are made and a lot of topics that it is overlooked.
Its been a while where no one has responded to a discussion for me personally. However there tends to be a bit of a disappointment. Granted its not the end of the world but I can really see how something like this is frustrating. I'm sure that there have been many topics that could have lead to very interesting discussions that have been passed over. Unfortunate but rather true scarily enough.

I think it depends on the person that's reading the topic because most of the users from forums world wide not only from my lot usually avoid complicated topics where an elaborated answer is required.

I usually go to no responses and new user to help them out also. Sometimes I can write something and sometimes not.
I don't know much about other countries sports, music or movies so sometimes I read the discussion and rate them although I can't do a response for them.
I also have been going through my friends list and start replying to some of their posts on a daily basis too.
Sometimes I don't get to do all three a day as I limit my time on the computer with dr appts., housework, cooking and I do cross stitching to make Xmas gifts.
But I try to get around and try not to neglect my friends on mylot either.

Ohhh... friend only start discussion no comments and no response full week is very danger because you will feel bore. But if you are saying only for one day then no problem. This is not good idea think again and try to change idea. I can do this for only one day not for one week.

Yes, whenever I got the time and already exhausted those topics from my friends or the top and hot ones, I tend to look for interesting topics in the no responses tab. I do see some good discussions in there that are worth remarking about. I think some discussions there are not exposed greatly since the users have low number of friends or maybe something else. I do have a hard time looking for discussions especially when a friend of mine suddenly posts a gazillion discussions and all that was left of my homepage was all his discussion.

You are the one that I need! please rescue me! I have like five discussions with no responses, so whenever you feel go and respond al least at one, lol, thanks for this beautifull discussion, that is what i about the life, about helping the others, it desn't matter if they are not your friends or aren't in the contact list, what matters is that you see the struggling and they need your help,so yes! let's help each others.

It really doesn't feel good when you start a discussion and nobody responds, that's why I don't like to start discussions often. I would be frustrated also if nobody replied. It is very disappointing to know people are not interested in the things you have to say or talk about. I will go check out the discussions with no responses now. :)

I don't do it that often but I try to do it every once in awhile to help those people out. I mean there are usually some good discussions hidden in those no response pages that people just couldn't respond to or it was written at at ime when not many people were on and so didn't see it. I know how it feels to not get a single answer either and so that's why I try to do something, even if it's just saying "This is a great discussion, I'm sorry I can't really add anything further to it, but I wanted to "unbury" it for you inhopes you get some responses.
