i prefer new clothes, bags and shoes than a jewelry

Whenever i have so much extra money, i would shop for clothes, bags and shoes than a piece of jewelry. It is because, with my new things i could really look differently or nicely overall, when i use them.
But with a new jewelry, i wouldn't actually look different from my usual look. Besides, i am not really fond of jewelries and i can only use them on occasion specially for those intricate jewelries.
What about you guys?

New clothes, shoes and bags are good things that a woman desires. When I have extra money, I ought to buy any of those things but later I realized that it would be better to invest in jewelries and not on clothes. I'm not saying that I won't buy new clothes and other things. What I am trying to say is that, I would somehow invest in jewelries too because they are classified as non-depreciable assets. There value will not depreciate. It will increase as time pass by. :D

I do know that jewelries are investments. I do like to have one or two also, but it would really take a lot of my money for my jewelry to buy. Whereas , given the same amount i could buy a lot of clothes, shoes and bags which could give me how many days of looking different.
I guess, i am a woman who is not into jewelries. In fact, some of my jewels are just in my jewelry box, very seldom used.

As for me, i will spend some money on buying me some new clothes and shoes. I won't spend money on buying bags anymore since i have enough of it, in my cabinet. But, i will make sure to spend some into investing in jewelries, since it is worth it. I would invest especially into gold since now the price is going higher and higher. I think it is very important that we must know how to save some money for our future needs.

Well, i can be like you also once in a while.
But i guess, i am really more inclined to buy new clothes, shoes and bags. As to the old ones, if i see that i have lots already, i would have them sold as "second hands" which is what we always do here in our place.

How can a jewelry be cheaper than clothes, bags and shoes?
A jewel by itself is already costly. Maybe you are referring to accessories, such as fancy necklaces , bracelets , earrings and bangles , my friend?

I don't like wearing jewelery so from my point of view it's much better to invest money in clothes rather than jewelery. I can't say I don't like jewelery at all, because watches are an important part for me, but overall rings, bracelets and chains doesn't fit me.

I guess i am like you. I only wear my wedding ring and watch as part of the jewelry that i wear to work. Bracelets don't suit me either too.
But with clothes, i like to have new ones always. Though, with my old clothes, i have them sold at second hand bazaars. That way, i got to have money to but new ones again.

I think, when we buy a jewelry it will cost us all our money. But if they are clothes, shoes and bags our money might still have lots of change left. Right?

I agree with you, I would prefer to spend the money on clothing or something I actually need. I rarely wear jewelery, never liked them and they don't show much about you. Also, they're expensive little items. Why have something small and expensive when you can buy a nice pair of shoes?

I like what you said about jewelry - they don't show much about you and that's very true. Unless it's a very big piece of jewelry where it can noticeably change your look.
Shoes ? So , just like me you like having new shoes too? A shoe for every occasion , and for every type of outfit.

oh simplyD but you do look different even if you are wearing something not just bought, the right necklace and b racelet can really set it off.I have a double strand necklace of milk white beads and crystal beads, very simple but against pastel colors they just sparkle . I have a matching bracelet and I feel like a queen for a day as I get oddles of compliments on this necklace and if you feel good in what you wear I think you look good too.

It's not really me, to wear necklaces, much more that makes me look rich. That's too much for me.
I just want to be simple. An earring, a wedding ring and a watch, is enough to go with my clothes. I use jewelry when i will go to a party.

I am not a jewelry person either. To tell you. I only wear my wedding ring. I don't have any earrings, bracelets or necklaces. My ear piercings have been gone for a year now! But if I have money, I would buy jewelry. Just for the collection. I think - clothes, bags and shoes are necessities. But jewelries, its what most women want. I would invest my money though for a new pair of shoes right now..coz I really need one now!lol

The only real jewelry that i wear everyday is my wedding ring too and also my watch. All the rest are fanciful ones.
I do agree that jewelry is what most women want. But for me, two or more of jewelries are already enough for me. Should i want investment , i would get shares of stock. Jewelries, cannot be easily sold when time comes for your need of the money.
Yes, get that pair of shoes you want. . .it's your need now, so it's just fair .

In my opinion surekha, our needs and wants are simple, so we don't prefer the jewelry. I think, we both are simple women.

I totally agree with you jricky! New clothes, shoes and bags specially when worn simultaneously would really make us look different from our usual look than a piece of jewelry.

Like you do, I'm not also very much fascinated with jewelries. I only wore a watch as it is needed or a necklace at times. I would always buy clothes or shoes whenever I have money. The reason is that clothes and shoes wear-off faster than jewelries so I have to spend more on them than jewelries. I also feel safer because wearing jewelries sometimes will make you as a target for snatchers and other elements like them.

Correct! We cannot wear jewelries in our work. It makes us a target of those snatchers and the like.
We may buy jewelry for investment purpose or for socializing. Other than that, i guess we just have to keep them in our jewelry box. Unlike clothes, shoes and bags, you can wear them everyday.

I love them both equally. And though the bag, shoes, clothes make you look good, i think a piece of jewlery will make you look attractive too. And the other thing is, jewelries are properties. If one day you are desperately in need of money, you can sell them for a good amount where as clothes and other stuffs can't do that unless they are branded, but still you wouldn't be able to replace the original price.
So yeah I love them both.

I do love them both also, but i prefer to have the new shoes, bags and clothes because i could buy them in a total amount equivalent to the price of a small piece of jewelry.
A jewelry needs to be seen in a close range , for it to be appreciated. Whereas a new clothes, shoes and bag worn simultaneously could make a tremendous impact on the looker, even at a distance.
