Is a strict teacher really the better teacher? I've asked this question because I was considering teaching to study.

No, i don't think strict teachers are better teacher. A good teacher must be approachable by students. Usually strict teachers are unapproachable by students. Students fear talking with him.

For me yes, a strict teacher is better because when you are strict you can gain the respect from the students and they will learn how to disciplined there selves.

strict is good, but it is not necessarily better. i have had strict teachers but they are not as good as the "good teachers" i have known in school.

Not always, but sometimes. One must in some classes of course the "hardness" have to be able to sit down. But people who behave well anyway, should not be punished. In my opinion, the best teachers who have no need to be strict at all, to gain respect. So it should not be such that students feel they are being treated poorly, or are afraid of the teacher. So I do not mean that you always be super nice to everyone and every need is 200 chances to improve. But I think that good students who behave well, should be treated well.

Since I'm still students themselves can probably prefer this answer best. There are teachers that are not strictly in favor, but the students are quite popular, the big drawback, however, is that few pay attention in class and do what they want so that is not the task of the teacher meets the students to teach. The teachers are too strict on the other hand, are rather less popular, and although the students are already more careful in the lessons will blaspheme in the back of the teacher and make them derisively at the whole school .. A good teacher is someone who is courteous and not with trifles yet ignore but warns directly after frequent behavior is admonished. So my opinion is that the teachers are not liked, not be drawn like to talk.

Strictness per see is not a good criterion for a good teacher.Firmness and gentleness is. Be firm to what you really want to convey to them and for discipline but be gentle in dealing with them especially in their difficulties and personal undertakings. It takes a lot of self-discipline on your part, but I assure you in doing that, you can be the teacher, your students cannot forget.:-)

I am a primary school teacher. I usually teach children aged 5, 6 or 7 years old. I take a firm but fair approach. I work hard to make the work that the children do interesting and reward good work plus sensible behavior. When handing children that are usually naughty I catch them being good and praise. I ignore their bad behavior unless it gets dangerous. I don't think it is great to be totally strict because then children don't find the teacher easy to approach. Children like to succeed and be praised. A difficult child can change once his or her self esteem is built.

Most teachers are stricter and better structured and the students learn more, well no, since the time is used wisely and is not interrupted by things like "Why do not you already done your homework again." Of course, popular with students less strict teachers who do not understand in any case in which the sense of the school. You have to just note for you: Do you prepare the students as possible for a future career, then rigor and consistency, as indicated by blue Clever already be inevitable or do you want of the most popular teachers at the school to be, then let off the rigor. But believe me it's not without severity over time. All my classmates including me in the meantime have better memories of the strict teacher. In business, nothing is a given, too. And a 1st in a tray or in a lesson where everyone is already without effort one gets the value for me nothing. Of course it is important to spread joy, but again, the teacher is to teach there, to teach something, he is NOT the best friend of the students.

Having been a teacher for many years, I would say that it is very much a balancing act. You must be strict enough to control any situation that could arise in the school but fair and honest in your dealings with students. They need to be able to look up to you. They may not have good parents at home and therefore need you as an example of a decent human being, but not a doormat! I wish you all the best with your decision-making and your bright future!
