The first amendment gives the right to an individual to speak their minds and guarantee freedom of expression. This law enables the people to express their feelings without being persecuted for their opinions and thoughts about certain issues. However, it is not an excuse for people to use this right to cover or malign their fellow individual.
Although, I agree with the first half of your statement, I disagree with the second part. What we say to others is also a responsibility and should always be with respect and consideration. We are also liable to things that we say to others, especially if we speak of personal and intimate matters. We should always consider what we should say becuase it is also a reflection of what we are. If we use crude language, we will be considered as a crude people. It's like we are what we say. Perhaps the only excuse we can get away with it is if we are in a high state of emotion and stress but even that should be followed by an apology.
Remember that words can also attack and hurt. They are very powerful in terms of communication, which can bind people together or tore them apart. We should speak about minds but we should also know when to keep quiet, listen and respond properly. It is always good to be diplomatic when it comes to words - whether speaking or writing so we don't hurt and misunderstand each other.

Hello ali ,
nice question. Actually I don't think much of it when i am speaking to someone. basically its because, i like to speak my mind irrespective of whether the other person agrees with me or not. I believe in being myself and speaking my mind. Other than that, i don't have to mind my mind while speaking too, i don't have the habit of mocking at anyone or teasing anyone, so i don't find it hard to put my thoughts into words while speaking to someone.
I am the way I am

I think in certain times it can be best to bite your tongue. But this is not always something i would suggest despite keeping the peace you must stay true to your morals. I think that is up to each person to use their initutive in every differnt situation, to work out what is the best way to deal with confrontation.
I tend to think out loud and i am a very honest person. I can also be very secretive at the same time. It's learning when to explain and when to answer questions that is more important.
