I want to get back to my old physique. How can I add pounds?

I was a little curvy before but I started losing weight when I begin to experience insomnia.I got a "little" slimmer and i really liked it. Others say that I looked better like this. But my family and relatives were asking what am I doing because they can see that I'm shedding pounds and they say I looked good before than now. I know they're just being exaggerated but I get bothered nonetheless. So now aside from "sleeping" what else should I do to effectively gain weight that will not take forever to see the results? any ideas? Thanks!

I am 5'3" tall and believed me i was skinny before. I was only 42kg, believe it or not. My waist line was only 20-22 inches. I didn't like having a very long neck and so skinny frame. And this is what i did to gain one to two kilograms a week. My cousin who's a doctor suggested that i should eat exactly at the same time everyday to increase my appetite and i should eat 5-6 times a day. So i ate breakfast at 8am, snacks at 10, lunch at 12. IN the afternoon i eat snacks at 3pm or 4pm then dinner at 7pm. Then i go to bed at 8pm to watch tv then i go to sleep at 9pm. If you can do this believe me your appetite will increase everyday and you will feel hungry more often and gain weight as fast as i did.

If you can't sleep early make sure that you eat some snacks again before hitting the bed if you plan to sleep late. This is the doctor's advise and it does work.

I wish I can do that because it sounds good, lots of eating haha. Thanks sis I'll definitely try that. I wish I can sleep that early though.

Hi friend,I think putting on weight is much more easier than loosing it.Take a balance diet in your meal everyday.That is a meal full of protein,vitamins,carbohyrates.Like fish,meat,egg,rice,whole wheat bread,fruits like bananna,cantaloupe,sweet papaya,almonds, cashwes,raisons,peanuts,chese,full cream milk or yoghurt,mashed potatoes etc.You can do some free hand exercises and walking.Eat every gap of 2 hrs.Take lot of water ,juice,some healthy desert.I think if you take these in a systematic way you will gain weight naturally.And above all try to be tension-free,which is very difficult.

I would think that you would do just the opposite of people trying to lose weight. I Have heard that there are products you can use to help add on weight too. Weight lifting would be a good weight to go and eating alot of protein. I wish you luck in your endeavors. It may not be easy at first.

SEarch the internet for some gain weight exercise for sure u could plenty of that. If not go to the gym and ask their that your goal is to add weight a little bit but still look fit.

Most people including myself have the opposite problem. I sleep alot, so maybe that is why I can't lose weight. It must be nice to be able to eat anything you want, but exercise too and make sure you gain some muscle also. Remember muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less space, so even if the scale goes up, you might not see any more curves.
