Here I am again in front of my office computer answering posts on MyLot while doing my Job but even with this much multi-tasking at hand, I still feel bored! Is it because I've been doing this (multi-taksing) for a long time now that I'm used to it? How do you beat boredom when you're in the office?

You just need something to AMP you up or something to look forward to at your work to get you interested. Music perhaps, like crazy adrenaline music. Me personally when I get bored, I just cruise the internet for something funny.

Darn that's a bummer about music. But try the website called stumble upon. And just keep stumbling with your bored. You will usually encounter interesting sites.

Thank you for your comment, it's a good thing that music is allowed on your office, that's the thing about my Job, we're not allowed to play music in the office and some websites are really limited. It's a good thing MyLot is not blocked but most websites are really restricted. I have browsed most sites looking for something funny but I get bored on that as well.

You may be multitasking, but you are still in the same office, in the same chair, in front of the same computer, doing the same tasks at the same time. Essentially your surroundings and what you have been doing is the same. It has been the same for awhile now. It is only natural for you feel bored considering all of this.
I have this problem to. I may have five or six projects going at once on the computer and yet I can't stop myself from yawning. All I want is to get outside where to the fresh air is. I just want to change my surroundings and wave goodbye to that boring room and computer for awhile. :)

You have a point there, maybe I should try a change of scenery. The sunrise can be seen from where I'm sitting, I should really take some time to appreciate that.

I have just responded to a similar discussion - my point is that during the 50 plus years that I have lived, I have never been bored in my life!
My mind is constantly figuring out new things, figuring out new ways to make small things in my life easier to do.........
How can one be bored when there is so much to learn, so much more to understand that even a million lifetimes may not be enough?
No offense intended.

Hi goggles21, it's inevitable that we would be bored doing the same schedule or favorite stuffs all the time no matter how amusing and attractive they are. It's the same if doing myLot posts here continuously and crazily just for the sake to reach certain target aimed for Due to this I never like to indulge in what I like all the time. I like to involve in different activities which I'm interested to make life to have more diversity joy and fun.
Having chat randomly with close colleagues is one of the handy ways to kill my boredom in the office Sometimes the chitchat seems like to go endlessly Playing my favorite computer game on the sly for a short while is another great way to get refreshment lol...
Have a nice day and happy posting!

It's the monotony of all you're doing. If you do something long enough, the "new" wears off and it becomes less exciting.
My work is in the performing arts. For the dancing part of my job, I beat boredom by training a new trick or sequence. For the administration part (I have a company that I manage and perform for), I usually do some online research in hopes that I can find some inspiration for future productions. I often turn on some music or maybe a video in the background just to break the monotony. Oddly, I focus better that way, but you just need to find something to put the "new" back in the equation so that it all stays interesting.
If it is something I can do while I do my dance stretches, I will do that as well.

Another thing I do is go down to a frozen yogurt place down the street and get my planning done over my favorite flavors.
Also, this may seem weird, but I also watch videos on Youtube about dance and how to organize your life. It just helps me stay motivated knowing that other people are doing it with you and having fun during the process.
