This one was re-posted by a friend in Facebook who has a friend victimized by a living manifestation that our country has a lot of crocodile specie roaming around on places where they hunt for some of their poor fellow men. What's funny was they even had a chance to take the picture of this evil man uploaded it on FB and tagged as many people as they can and ask it to re-share it.
***My apologies for those who will not be able to understand the conversation as it was posted in vernacular. Filipinos, read and let's remember the face of this another idiot who gives shame to our country.
Customs 1: wala ba kayong idedeclare?
Achi: wala.
Customs 1: may electronics ba kayong binili?
Achi: wala.
Customs 1: buksan ang maleta! Pwede kayo magpasok ng gamit from hongkong ng 10k per person lang pag lumagpas may tax ng babayaran.
Nilagay namin black na maleta sa table para mauna buksan.
Customs 1: ung pula!
Princess: choosey to ah ipepresent naman pati ung red nauna lang ung black ayaw pa!
Customs after opening the bag: “dami nito ah! Puro bago! Wala bang resibo?”
Achi: wala e kasi puro sa tiangge lng nabili, pero ung iba meron.
Achi binigay ung ibang receipt sa customs.
“Customs nagcompute how much lahat. Wala pang 10k so nag isip ng other way”
Customs 1: ang dami nito ah ibebenta niyo to!
Achi: hindi, personal use yan tska pasalubong.
“Customs 2 lumapit kay Customs 1. Custom 1 binigay computation ng babayaran daw naming tax”
Customs 2: eto ung babayaran niyong tax 4k plus.
Achi: ang laki naman! Tska sbi nyo 10k per person pwede e wala pa 10k yan.
Customs 2: e ibebenta nyo yan.
Achi: personal use yan tska pasalubong.
Customs 2: kapag personal use 2-3 items lang.
Princess thinking: bobo!
Siraulo!!!!!!
So now, I know how true the rumor is... That in customs, getting money is just an easy thing... Was it a rumor? or a real one? Poor us.

i think we should call on PNOy about this and ask help that they also clean up the personnel working at customs. this makes it clear why there are a lot of people that i know that wants to work at the customs. i dont think i want to buy a lot if i will be going out from the Philippines i will just mail it door to door so no problems.

Yeah, those people who were victimized are thinking of how to report it to the authorities who will give actions accordingly. I would really love Pnoy to see this and see what actions he would take on those crocodile who are ready to bite anyone anytime! Grrrr

Well the former Bureau of Customs Chief John Sevilla, started to clean up the BOC of these crocs, but I guess there were just too many crocs that he had to quit. And PNOY assigned Lina who made matters worse

The customs is a crocodile farm were crocodiles roam and raises crocodile babies. Someone should throw in a croc killer to get rid of them all. Will pesticide work? I've been a victim of these crocodiles and the next time I transact with them again, I will bring a hidden camera and post it on facebook, youtube and twitter.

Nice idea! Sometimes, it is good that we fight these crocodiles in our own effective way rather than wait for the authorities who obviously know everything about it but chooses to stay quiet. They all sucks!

first i hope that your discussion wont get deleted, for it is in Filipino language. but that is not a rumor. it is the ugly truth and it is disgusting. i went to japan last November and went home last february. when it was my time at the check, the personel who was there asked me "do you have any laptops". i said none. then he raised his voice as if he was angry "how many laptops do you have" and i said i dont have any laptops. then he asked "any electronics?" still his voice was high as if i did something wrong. i said none. yes i have a laptop and have some electronics but i mailed it before i went home. a door to door so i wont have problems at customs for i know things like this happens. at first i wanted to ask why is he shouting, but i guess that is their tactics. i did not complain anymore for all i want is to get out of there and see my wife and my child. but i hope this crocodiles and alligator like humans at the airport get caught, they are disgusting.

Yes, they are really disgusting. I think they are shouting like that to terrify those people whom they are talking to. To make people afraid of them so when they asks for money, these afraid poor people will just give in to their ill requests.

But unfortunately, those greedy people do have those position and they use it to be more greedy all they want. I hope karma would hit them for once and then they vanish.

That's really ashame in our country and that's how our system works and no one dare to go against it . I'm glad that you share this us but I have also a friend who had same experience as your friend. So when we had also a vacation in Hongkong we are this hesistation of buying soo much because we had fear that we need to declare what we bought there. Also we don't want to go on a traumatic experience on what so called airport authority. They had really a thick face!!! Where can I view the uploaded pictures?

I think the problem is the Customs is not very transparent when it comes to the laws and policies. That's why they can extort from unsuspecting travelers. Why don't they post the laws and whatever policies that concerns about the things bought from other countries? They can post them on all points of entries -- airports, seaports, post offices, etc... That's one way the Filipinos can be guided and protected from these crocodiles.
