No. It's their party and they have the right to invite whomever they please :)
As for me, I'll still attend the party but I'll act civil towards my ex. I can say "Hi" and smile but that's simply it. I won't initiate a conversation unless he's the one who approach me and start one :) Besides, there will be other people in the party whom I can mingle with :D

your right!...ex are unavoidable esp if your in the same circle.
You just be casual when u bump into each other.
Actually you both have already moved on and are happily on ur own lives this will just be a laughin matter c",)

I would go and have good fun. Nothing would stop me even my ex. This is his problem not mine and we have nothing to do with each other any more. But I have no idea how my current partner would feel if he had met my ex. I think he would feel not comfy in this situation but nothing would prevent him to have nice time. So ex is not a problem.

Nah, I'd just go and enjoy myself. You need to let bygones be bygones and not hold grudges, although you may not have gotten along well with your ex, just remember that you're not connected in any way any more. In a group, there are all kinds of people, some you like and some you don't care so much for, so it shouldn't be a big deal.
