I watched Kungfu Panda in english. Also watched it hindi dubbing. I found Hindi dubbing was much funny than english one. MIB(man in black)'s hindi dubbing also much interesting than english one. You might also watched some movies with two different languages.Did you find one best over other?

I have actually seen Kung Fu Panda in both Hindi and English versions. I of course liked it better in the English version. The Hindi version was comical. The way they threw the dialogues and the lines were comical. If that is the kind of funny you are looking for then of course you would prefer the hindi version. But I do not want a movie which has some serious comedy get ruined because of cheesy dialogues. You can call be biased but I usually prefer something in its original form, rather than translations and dubbing. Somehow that originality and subtlety gets lost when someone changes the language. It is true for movies, books and anything else which depends on language.

Hi rafiholmes, Of course, understanding the language is important if you want to appreciate the humour. But some people have their preferences. It is their personal choice after all... Subtitles are obviously much better than those ridiculous dubbings. I once watched a Harry Potter film in hindi (as a favour for a friend)... It was a laugh riot even when the scenes were actually quite serious.

And yes, I think it is a gif file. I uploaded it a couple of years back. But as far as I can remember it needs to be of a particular fixed size in order for it to show the animation everywhere in this site. Thought I would let you know just in case you were interested...

Hi vi, Subtitles adds more to an otherwise unintelligible movie due to bad sound reproduction as most of our systems are, or to just unfamiliarity of some languages in foreign films. Given the quality of sound reproduction by a good speaker system, I have no problem with English movies, I can easily understand the spoken language. When it comes to foreign language or bad audio, I opt for the subtitles to be enabled.

For me, I would prefer to watch English movies by English (sound and sub). Watching dubbed movie is like watching the movie without its pure soul. And when it comes to non-English movies, I would prefer to watch them by their original languages but subbed to English. That's way better for me :)

I live in Indonesia and sometimes the TV station plays Box Office movies in english. I love it when it played in their original language such as MIB in english or Kungfu Hustle in chinese. Because i can get their expression in that movie.
