Hi,bluegemini~
Nope,I don't think I would ever want to do that.I usually faint at the sight of blood gushing out.I don't know if I would faint at chicken's blood. But I definitely don't like the smell of it.My dad once bought a chicken from the market and killed it.I wanna puke at the smell when my dad was trying to kill it.I like chicken meat but I would never be the one to kill it.

A part of our high school quasi-military training is to catch, kill, and cook a chicken. So, yes, I've done that already. :))

Hello blue and welcome to myLot. Interesting discussion. When I was growing up with my grandparents we raised chickens to put in the freezer for the winter. I learned not only about raising chickens but how to kill clean and dress them. Yes I could and would kill a chicken. The part I didn't like was taking the feathers off. I hated the fact that pulling the feathers off was a great draw for flies and they are very sticky and almost impossible to keep t hem off your arms and face. When I had a home of my own I also raised chickens for food and had to kill and clean them. We also raised rabbits to eat but I could not kill any of them but could clean them.

I use to live on a farm, so did that more than once. Its not hard to do, but I didn't like doing it. You learn quickly how to when that is your next meal.

I don't think I don't have the guts to kill a chicken because I have am afraid of the blood. Maybe I could just cook a chicken but never ever to kill one. I will have to cook chicken curry with lot of chilli and spices
