Having lived in Europe, The United States and Asia I do not see any difference in people. Everyone has their unique personality, shaped to some extent by the culture they live in but individual in their talents and capabilities.

In my experience, Westerners are less passive, fatalistic than Easterners

thanks for you response.
I think you are right,I am from China, sometimes I think Easterners, at least most of Chinese, always bound by traditional idea and fate, we should be more passive and try for our dreams.

i think the culture we are brought up in has an massive impact on us. but so, too, does our family.
but then i think we also have all have our own personalities.
i think the difference is mainly cultural. though when i have been on a visit to a country a long way from home i always think how different the world looks when i'm there. so thre are many outside influences that make us who we are, but there is also our personality.
but the world would be a boring place, in any, if we were all the same. the differences between people is probably what makes the world go round!
