Chinese women are university considered conservative, old-fashioned. Well, as a Chinese woman, I have to say such images in your head should be deserted. Nowadays's Chinese women are open-minded and capable.
Perhaps these four men from U.S., France, Sweden, Spain can give you a clue what Chinese women are like. It will become especially useful when you date a Chinese girl.

Well, nice article there but ... there is something wrong with that article.
Let aside the american guy, the other 3 were chinese women worshipers, related one to another or someone put the words there and used them names.
Let me be very clear - I do not deny the chinese woman nor her qualities.
Problem is that those 3(4) guys are there from different amount of time but even the one been there just few months have same opinion and idea: women from china are easy to get. "All you need it to get their trust" .. oh, c'mon, that is everywhere in the world. However, if a guy been in China just few months and already saying he have a good knowledge of asian / chinese women and have had already several dates with different gals ... this do not say those girls are special, this plain say those girls are easy to get.
And I doubt is so.
One more: the guy who live there since 13 years ... and still single, surrounded by so many chinese so special girls? Doh!
Chinese woman can not be so easy to get. Well, except the percentage of them which ARE easy to get, but which are not even near being majority. I am sure most of gals in China are not so easy to be fooled around. And would not just pass over and go for next one after this one proved to be a false promise ..
So, the article is a waste of time and - if you ask me - a lie. And in support of this I put in the spot light that the article promote the lady.163.com, which is a ... dating site.

Hi.Lady.163.com is not a dating site. You can visit the website at http://lady.163.com. It is a branch website under a portal website of China www.163.com. It focuses on women's life.
And the article is translated by me from the women's magazine Self.Well I just think it is interesting to see what Chinese women are like in eyes of western men who have very different cultural background.
As a Chinese myself who majored in English in college, I know very well different mindsets can breeds many misunderstanding. As in the article, one of the men doesn't understand why Chinese women say no when she means yes.
Any way, I just wanted to present the views on Chinese women from a different angle.I guess it is more significant for the Chinese women readers.[LOL]

I agree. When facing people from different cultural background, we should have the exploration spirit to figure out what they think and how they think instead of judging them with your own cultural background.

I don't think that race has anything to do with dating at all. Rather it's about having similar values.
Does it so happen that race sometimes plays a role in someone's values and belief system? Yes, because culture is a social construct and so plays a role in the way children are raised in a certain society. It's the reason why many feel comfortable dating people of their own race and ethnicity. It's because there's an implied understanding of shared culture.

I don't think race really should matter too much when it comes to dating. It is true that many different countries have customs that affect personalities, but nobody can really predict what a relationship will be like. Saying that all Chinese women are a certain way might mean that they can easily be replaced by another Chinese woman and it will be exactly the same. While their families are often more close-knit, they can come from all sorts of different households.

You are right. But being raised in the similar cultural environment that are very different from the rest of the world, they do have something in common. I am very interested about the cultural clash in the love relationship of two persons from different countries.
