i am a electrical engineer and always slove urgent problems in different project site in other countries. at the beginning as a green hand i lacked site experience and practice i felt overwhelmed sometimes. but i did love my job and put the difficult as a challenge and often stayed up to learn new skills in hotel.two years later, i have enough experience, however,i feel boring and don't konw what to do. when laying bed i will wonder if i can change my job to find some enthusiastic work to try. so myloters, how do you feel your work? how to keep the enthusiasm to work even several years later?

If one has inclination to learn a thing or two everyday and put in to practice what he has learned, it is possible to remain enthusiastic everyday. And if he can add some creativity in his job and be interested in developing others, then it would be a lot better. The bottom line is-are you making a difference.

Making a difference means doing that extra bit which makes you stand apart from rest. Which could be done only because of you. It must be our endeaver to make a difference. If we are at a place where we are not making any difference then we should try to find someplace where we can make a difference.

Electrical Engineering is a very good professional field, I would say. There can be different types of work in that field. I would imagine you can change the type of job in the same company or change to another company for a different kind of job. I work in an international trading sector, and I like the job very much.

Well there are so many things you can do with a degree like that I can tell you. Have you become certified? You can be and make more money, but you will be responsible for any thing mess ups on the things you make. Thats the one downfall that I can see of it. You can also get your masters online or go back to school. Usually a job will pay for something like that. My ex father in-law was or is a mechanic engineer and went back to get his teaching certificate sine he had taken all the classes in engineering. He went for math. He got tired of that then went to selling solar screens got tired of that. Did I mention he was also a lobbyiest and did not get his degree until he was 40? Yea he did but he is an a hole too. Be carefull not to let it get to your head too much either. For some reason people think they are better when you do not have their degree. Good luck

I think everybody feel board when they work for a long time.Especially for the young people. So do I.I am not enthusiastic with my job,so I quit. But every work is the same, when you work a long time, and you learnt everything, there is no more knowledge or skills you want to learn.Actually, we can learn more things unless you donot want to learn.
So be active, positive and you will find the job worth your enthusiasm.
