Hello Friends :)
One of my friend is having AC in his room at his house. Well its okay to have it. But when we friends went on holidays together. In all the way he was bragging about hot weather. And also insisted AC hotel room on hill station.
Well we leaved him in another because of that. Because none of other wants to get cold. Now I have heard that AC makes people habitual of it. But this much.
Personally mostly I used to stay under fan even I am having AC at my home. I really don't want to be habitual like this so I can adjust in any where...
What you think about this ??? Are you habitual of something like this that you can't even adjust without it ??

OH..!! Thank God.. I am not alone on this. I also have a friend who is an exact copy of the friend you just mentioned. I hope we are not talking about the same guy...
We went on a trip and everywhere we went, he wanted AC... in trains, in hotel rooms, cars. Maybe it would have suited him if he could carry one with him all the time. The only place he didn't ask for was at Sangla in Himachal Pradesh where water, if left open at night, would freeze in a couple of hours.

It really depends if the weather is way to hot, as here it gets really hot and humid. But I could actually live without it, but given a preference I do enjoy using it.
We do have air conditioning here at home, but there are times I prefer not to use it as the utility bill then comes sky high. lol

Hi. If it's not that hot, I'm okay with a fan. But if it's really hot and humid I really have to turn on the AC. Nowadays, an AC is already a need specially in hot weathered city like in Texas.

Ohhh no if I will seat in front of AC then I will definitely die because I never sleep in cooler. AC is too much. I cant sleep without blanket. No I am not habitual of anything because I am middle class women and I know habitual or addiction is harmful for life. In our home no AC.

Yes true.. We should able to adjust in every situation. I mean life is not in one way. so better we don't be over habitual to anything. So even if someone is reach then he/she should not be over habitual to something. That's good that you are not one of them.

Well it depends. If one lives in a very hot place, then it's worth owning one, and it's even more worth to operate it at most hours of the day. But if you're only up to buying and owning one just for luxury and for senseless pleasure, then I don't think it's worth it. In my case, I live in a temperate country, so the hot season here is tolerable enough. But I do keep my electric fan to my direction when I sleep. It's still so damn hot.

Its not necessary to stay every time in AC if there is very hot place. I mean here we having too much hot temperature all the time. Sometimes more than 45 degree. So we use AC some times. But if we over use it and become habitual than it can cause us trouble when we go to any place where AC is not available. That's why better we don't be over habitual of anything.

Habitual of it? Well it does feel nice, and you get used to it. We don't keep ours as cold as some people though.

I would rather be too cold than too hot because I can add layers if I am too cold, but if I am too hot, you can only take off what you have on. If I do not have to use the air conditioner, then I won't. I only use my A/C if it is SUPER DUPER hot and/or humid. We have experienced a few of those days this summer, so I have used my A/C in my home for those days. Otherwise I keep my windows open and welocome the fresh air in. Plus, the energy wasted when the A/C is not needed costs money and is not cheap, so I only use it when needed.

In a hot & humid country like where I live in, AC helps alleviate the extreme heat we experience almost everyday. Much more that I'm an asthmatic person, extreme hotness triggers my asthma attacks thus I have to stay inside a cool room. However, it doesn't make me addicted to AC as I often times spend weekends in the farm cutting down ordinary trees and replacing fruit-bearing and wood trees seedlings. Still I can adjust to a hot temperature. But when it's a windy day, I would take the opportunity to feel the coolness of the wind. Much more when it rains hard, I can sleep without an AC. AC, on the other hand, is good for my health. ;)

Hello AKP,
At my home also i don't have an AC and my body is made like i am habitual to bear the heat.I always believe our body will adjust like if we want it to be.If we give it all comforts it will demand for comforts only.
I remember one of my friend's daughter she has the habit of living in AC only so whenever she comes to my house she finds it difficult to adjust herself due to no AC in our house.
But you friend is strange because i feel the temperature at hill station might not be that much high that he may need AC there. I think your decision to take NON AC room was OK in that condition.

Well even we other friends found it quite strange and weird.. AC in hillstation is surely not needed. Temperature wasn't that cool but surely it wasn't hot to have AC.
Yes people should learn to adjust in any kind of weather. I mean life is not going to run only in one way. So better we don't be over habitual of the things like AC.
