How do you know if your ex is still in love with you?

My ex and I broke last February 2011, he told me that his feelings for me were gone. I was hurt at first but decided to accept it. He and I are still good friends now but sometimes I can still feel that he loves me. I don't know if I'm just assuming but my instinct says so.I'm too anxious to ask him because I'm scared of how he will answer and he is a man of few words. What will I do?

He may still have feelings, but have decided that there are reasons he doesn't want to be with you. I'd let it go.

If I were you, I wouldn't do anything. If he has feelings for you he probably would have told you or will tell you when he's ready. So I would wait and if he doesn't do anything for the next few months... you should just move on. Chances are he feels guilty for breaking up with you so he treats you better than he should.
Besides, do you WANT to get back with him? He's lost feelings for you before... what makes you think he won't lose it again?
I would say don't get your hopes too high or you might get hurt another time.
But that's just me, do what makes you happy and take care!
