My daughter is having her second baby daughter due on January 1st.I'm so excited!! She is thinking of a unique name for her daughter. She has two names she is thinking seriously of. Whatever the name she decides the middle name will be Rose named after her husbands grandmother. The first name is "Ariella Rose" and the second is "Jayla Rose." My question is what do you like better and feel is more unique? Also if you can come up with some other unique names to go with Rose I will pass them on to her. Thank you and have a great day.

Isabella Rose sounds good too at least to me. I am sure you are very excited about the coming of another grandchild. I can not wait for this to happen to me. My son is only 9 but a mother looks ahead at times. I whish to have more children and these names are beautifull!

That would be a good one but my daughters niece is named Isabella. I have to tell you people told me you go through so much with your own kids but the reward is when you have your grandkids. They are the most precious thing in the world. I have my first granddaughter who is now 5 years old and waiting for her sister to be born. My oldest daughter just gave birth in February to my first grandson and I was there in the room to witness the birth. It was the most exciting and emotional thing ever. Grandkids to me are your reward for being parents to begin with. Your son is only 9 but the time goes by so fast you won't believe it. Take care and thanks for your response. Have a great day!

Ariella Rose sounds magical to me. Is truly unique name I'm sure this little miracle will be happy in her life. Rose is beautiful name and beautiful flower, my favourite one. And Ariella sounds very distinctive.

Ok that is one for Ariella Rose. Yes, I agree it does sound magical. Also not many people have that name, I think! Thank you for your vote and have a great day.

That is a beautiful name but is she going to be spending her whole life telling others how to spell it!? Or maybe that won't matter to someone with such a unique name. I wish mine was more magical!

How about Aurelia Rose? It has a lovely soft sound.

How about Rosanna or a very old fashioned but sweet name is Margaret Rose. Jayla Rose sounds lovely though and of the two would be my first choice. Many congratulations!

I was thinking of just the one name when I said Rosanna - certainly did not mean Rosanna Rose. I also said that Margaret was just an old fashioned name that goes well with Rose. The Queen's sister was named Margaret Rose. That is all I meant

Well Rosanna Rose just wouldn't work. I think Margaret is just an old name not unique at all. However, that is one for Jayla Rose. Thank you for your response.

I´m sure both names are beautiful for a beautiful baby! The last time I heard of a different name fr a baby girls was a few years ago and it was also asociated with Rose. One of my friend´s granddaughter was called Almond Rose. I loved that! Congratz, granny!!!

Thank you so much, I'm so excited. My oldest daughter just had a son in February and I was there to witness the birth. It was amazing experience. Almond Rose is really a different and unique name. I can't wait to hear what my daughter says about that name. She is now saying she thinks she is picking Jayla Rose but is also saying she is holding out to see what she looks like and what will fit her better. Thank you for your response.

Thank you for your response. So Ariella has now 6 votes where Jayla has 3. Watch though my daughter will go with the underdog and pick Jayla.

Don't take this wrong, but I have a beautiful name, one I would have called my own daughter if my husband would have let me. Instead my main female character has this name followed by my dog..So the name I am giving you, though it is my dog's name, remember it actually was suppose to be for my own child and turned into a character in a book. The name is Ciara Rose....I have always liked the name Ciara because it was my first and favorite cologne. I use the name Rose for the middle name because ti flows so well together..

Thanks lelin, and if she chooses that name, you'll have to let me know because I'd love to know there is a "Ciara Rose" out there and when I get my story published, your granddaughter's name would be in it..:)

I really like Jayla Rose. I'm partial to Rose because that was my mother's name, only it was short for Rosella. Ariella Rose just doesn't flow well, it sounds so choppy. There are other names that go well with the middle one, too. Lorayna Rose, Martha Rose, Sara Rose (although Sara is really over-used right now), Ziva Rose, Rachel Rose, Channah Rose, Ada Rose, Bethany Rose. There are so many good names! If she doesn't go for Jayla Rose, have her go through books she likes or a list of Biblical female names that are lovely but uncommon. Above all, I hope she remembers the child is the one who has to live with the name. Best wishes for a healthy baby!!

My goodness that is alot of suggestions. I love Sara Rose. I was talking to her last night and told her that I had posted this discussion. She was surprised that it was 4 people for Ariella and only 1 for Jayla. She said that is so funny because we are really thinking of going with Jayla. I now have another list of girls names to throw at her. See what she says later. Thank you so much for all the good suggestions and thanks for the best wishes. Have a great day!

Thank you my friend Antiquelady. It is such pretty name but I think my daughter is torn between both names. She was thinking of waiting for her to be born to see what she looks more like Ariella or Jayla. Thank you for your response.

I'm not crazy with the name Ameline. I do like Colby but I don't like Colby Rose. It just doesn't go to me. However, I will share with my daughter. Thank you so much for your response.

Hi lelin :) Those are beautiful names, ma'am, the ones you are confused over. Personally, Ariella sounds so much more beautiful and mystical (partly because it's kind of like my favourite toon character's name- Ariel the mermaid). :P It has such a beautiful meaning too: "Lioness of God". That's such a strong, divine and majestic image for a name and it's meaning. Together with Rose, it'll be a unique name indeed. A strong flower that weathers all, maybe?! No doubt Jayla is a beautiful name too. But this one is for Ariella, wholeheartedly! I would like to suggest Aianna (also spelt as Aiyanna or Aiyonna) which means "forever beautiful" or Elaine meaning "light". I just have an intense liking for these two names :) I believe they'd go beautifully with Rose, too! Good luck to the baby!! God bless her! And have a nice day!! :)
