I too love coffee but we differ in its effects. I drink coffee so I can sleep. Its all in the mind, we were raised to think that coffee perks up your body so a lot of us drink it after waking. I just conditioned my mind that I'll be sleepy whenever I drink coffee at night. Try it. Stay in bed and try to sleep after you drink a cup of coffee. Don't ever get up... if you can't sleep, just stay in bed till you do. If you do this everytime you drink a cup of coffee at night, sooner or later, your body will eventually be conditioned to be sleepy whenever you drink one.

Geez flowerfest...you should not drink coffee when you want to sleep. It's has cafine in it that will keep you awake. If i drink a cup of coffee before I go to bed I will stay awake shaking my foot on the bed so much that it wakes my wife up. So I don't drink coffee anymore before bed, just in the morning because it's a good way to energize your morning.

I don't drink coffee for the reason that i palpitate. When you palpitate it means that your heart couldn't handle caffeine. It can cause some problem with your health someday.

My husband only drinks one cup of coffee a day, his maximum would be 2 cups. If he drinks more than that he will palpitate. I am not a coffee drinker, it also does not have the effect of keeping me awake. There was a time I had to stay up to study for an exam so I decided to try drinking coffee. I had a mug full of coffee, after finishing my coffee, I lay down my bed to relax and instantly fell asleep! hehehe

I drink a lot f coffee, instant mainly, and don´t bother about sleep. Sleep will come if it wants to. I discovered that it is worse to get anxious because you don´t feel sleepy. Our body knows best.
I don´t have any palpitations though. Do you put too much coffee in your cup?

Yes coffee does have a strong effect on me. If I drink a cup of coffee around late evenings then be sure I'm not going to sleep till the breaking of dawn. I do love coffee however, it has that strong effect on me so I try to avoid it. I drink it maybe 2 times a week and that's it. And no palpitate or anything as of such, just sleeplessness.

As I work on line I drink a lot of coffee. And I started to have problems with blood pressure. I decided to switch coffee to decaff coffee and no I feel ok and still can enjoy it. Sometimes I drink coffee late in the evening but I have not problems with sleep as I drink decaff. You can try it and see the difference. I wish you nice day or maybe I should suggest you good night :)

Hi flowerfest...I just drink coffee once a week. But I really add creamer or milk to my coffee. Because I have hard time in going to sleep when I drink just purely coffee. That's my reason also why I just rarely drink coffee.
God Bless...Happy Mylotting...:)
