hi.. i suggest you watch dog whisperer at National geographic channel. I love that show, and its very helpful on how you can train your dogs.
Let me share some points that I learned from that show. Exercise Discipline, then affection. If you would like to teach your dog something, you should be firm in your actions towards the dog, you should show that you are the leader and the dog is the follower. Remember that dog cannot understand what we usually say, they only know that we are teaching them something based on how we react to what their doing.
If your dog is doing something which you think is not right, you can tap them, for them to be able to know that they made a mistake. but if you nag at them, that wont help because they wont be able to understand you... Good luck in training your dog, hope you could watch Dog Whisperer.

I see you are in the Philippines, so I don't know if you can get this at your local store, but you might be able to purchase it online. This is a kinder way of training your dog, I posted a picture of what I used for my 2 dogs, but it doesn't have to be this brand name. I think the main idea is if it removes the odor.. This is because if you watch a dog, they will go in the same place every time. It is called marking their spot and when the dog goes inside, I don't rub their nose in it, but I do bring the dog to the spot, point at it and firmly say, "No, bad dog" Then clean it up and use this spray, so it will remove a spot they have marked to use again..
I also get a crate, one that is the right size for your dog. The dog should be able to stand up and turn around easily, but not able to have too much room that he can use the crate for a bathroom. By keeping a dog here, for only a short time, (NEVER LEAVE A DOG IN A CRATE FOR LONGER THAN A FEW HOURS, THAT IS ABUSE!!!!) the dog will not go, because a dog won't pee or poo where they sleep.
Of course depending on the age of the dog, if it is a puppy, they will need to go out every 2-3 hours. An older dog can last longer, some up to 8 hours, but I personally don't let mine go much longer than 4-5 hours.
Also, if you are worried about the crate being a bad thing for dogs. I have had 5 dogs in my life, and four of them were crated like this and each one see the crate as their own room..My dogs share a crate where I leave the door opened all the time and almost all the time I will look in and one or both are lying in there..They don't see it as a bad thing, and if you think about it, a dog in the wild likes a den, and that is what my dogs think about their crate.
But if a dog has been a part of a puppy mill, the abusive place where dogs are kept in crates 24/7, then that dog will be afraid of a crate and should not be crated..
I hope that helps..:)
