I've just bought a new one (lip gloss), but rather wants to disinfect before use ... Can I simply immerse in disinfectant?

The lip glosses are usually sold with a seal around them, that means they are sterile. You do NOT want to disinfect things like make up, your skin will absorb the chemicals and your eyes/lips are some of the most absorbent places on you. Those chemicals can kill you, they even say not to let them come in contact with your skin!

I would not do that. The disinfectant can be determined after a strange smell and taste. You take the next one probably just do not buy the first lip gloss on the shelf and look at that he is still packed (or sealed with tape). If you prefer, then simply wipe the lip gloss from a handkerchief or something.

I would think that if you immerse it, you'd be ingesting more harmful chemicals than the germs you're trying to get rid of. Plus a disinfectant might make the product spoil quicker, or make it not go on as well. I'd wipe the case it comes in down, but as for the product, no. I've never purchased a lip gloss that didn't have some kind of plastic seal on it to keep it germ free. If it's one of those ones in a tube, and it's hard, then just a clean tissue wiped over the top (to remove the top layer and any germs with it.)
