Deja vu describes those odd moments when it seems as if you were living through an event of the second time. It probably stems from the psychology of the brain. One theory is that in storing an event in memory, a single of the area lags behind other parts. The sense of familiarity is then created when that one spot catches up to the rest, processing what other parts have been recorded.
A second hypothesis is that occasionally a particular event in the present activates memory traces of the past experience that has some real or magined link in the present. If, for example, you longed as a child to visit some romantic, far-off city and pored over pictures of it, your first real visit in adulthood might well give you a sense of jeja vu.

Hi thetis...
What you say here is true. Deja vu occurs either due to some similar past experience or some totally 'thought-up' situation that unbelievably materialises (that is called the power of thinking - you attract what you mull over)
But, I've realised - and a plenty of times at that - sometimes, I look around, AND I JUST KNOW what will happen next and who will say what! I actually made people cringe by replying to something they hadn't even asked - and just because I had this weird feeling that "she's going to say 'this' next"!! And true to my thought, that is EXACTLY what she says next!! %)
It used to drive me crazy at first.I've experienced deja vu SO many times, I'm actually getting used to it!! It still amazes me though, how something like it even exists...
Some things even science can not explain!! :D
Have a good day!! :)

I've experienced "De Ja Vu" before. It's kinda creepy. I was going to the bathroom and I saw this cat outside peeking in. The next day, the same thing happened and it brought back the same feelings as the day before.

Yeah, it's like reliving a part of your life over again.
